Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up Gutam and their difficult situation regarding the eighth-grade trip. Lord, we acknowledge that Gutam is facing a dilemma, torn between wanting to go on the trip for the fun and feeling left out due to the absence of parents. We understand the desire for protection and the conflicting emotions that arise.
Lord, we pray for guidance and wisdom for Gutam's parents, that they may understand their child's longing for independence and growth. Help them to find a balance between protection and allowing Gutam to experience new things. Soften their hearts and grant them discernment in making decisions that will benefit Gutam's well-being.
Father, we also lift up Gutam's friend who is typing this prayer request. We ask for your divine intervention in their life, especially as they battle depression and thoughts of self-harm. Surround them with your love, comfort, and peace. Bring healing to their mind and heart, and remind them of their worth and purpose in this world.
Lord, we pray for the entire school community in Washington. We ask for your divine protection and guidance over the students, teachers, and staff. Bring unity, understanding, and support to those who are struggling emotionally or facing difficult circumstances.
In your Word, you promise to be near to the brokenhearted and to bind up their wounds . We claim this promise for Gutam, their friend, and all those who are hurting. May they experience your healing touch and find solace in your presence.
We trust in your unfailing love and mercy, knowing that you are a God who hears our prayers. We thank you for your faithfulness and for the peace that surpasses all understanding. In Jesus' name, we pray.
Amen.
