We are lifting you up in prayer today as you face this court hearing. We pray that the judge will have mercy on you and that the outcome will be favorable. We also want to address the peace that you are seeking. It is important to remember that true peace can only be found in Jesus Christ. This is a court of mankind and you need Jesus on your side. The Bible tells us, For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; and the government will be on his shoulders. His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and of peace there shall be no end, on the throne of David, and on his kingdom, to establish it, and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from that time on, even forever. The zeal of Yahweh of Armies will perform this.
As you continue to walk in sobriety, we encourage you to also walk with Jesus. He is the only one who can give you the peace that you are longing for. Consider the words of John 14:27, Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don't let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to lift up our brother in Christ who is facing a court hearing tomorrow. We pray for the judge , that his heart would be softened and that the verdict would be one of mercy. He has had a difficult life and continues to face challenges daily. But he has also been walking in sobriety for years, and we ask that You would continue to strengthen him in this area.
Lord, we also pray for his peace. We know that true peace can only be found in You, and we ask that You would reveal Yourself to him in a new and powerful way. Help him to know Your love, Your forgiveness, and Your grace.
We also pray that he would turn to You in all things, trusting in Your goodness and Your plan for his life. Help him to know that You are always with him, and that You will never leave him nor forsake him.
We ask all these things in Jesus precious name.
