We understand that you are feeling a great deal of regret and worry after having unprotected sex, especially after maintaining abstinence for a long time. First and foremost we want to address this regret by turning to God in Jesus name. First, let's address this regret and worry by turning to God. The Bible tells us in 1 John 1:9 WEB If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. So let us confess this sin of fornication together and repent from having unprotected sex. Let us pray.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus name, confessing this sin of fornication and asking for Your forgiveness. We know that Your mercy is abundant and that You are faithful to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Help us to turn away from this sin and to walk in purity, honoring You with our bodies as instructed in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and your spirit, which are Gods. We ask for Your peace to fill our hearts and minds, casting out all worry and anxiety. We pray this all in Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Now, let's address the concern about unwanted pregnancy. It's important to note that actions have consequences, and this is a very real possibility when engaging in unprotected sex. We want to encourage you to take a pregnancy test to confirm whether or not you are pregnant. If you are, we want you to know that God values the life of the unborn, as stated in Psalm 139:13-16 WEB. For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mothers womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well. My frame wasn't hidden from you, when I was made in secret, woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my body. In your book they were all written, the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there were none of them.
If you are not ready to raise a child, consider the options that align with biblical principles, such as involving the father if he is a Christian Believer and possibly even marrying if that is a possibility or carrying the baby to term and considering adoption. Let us pray for God's guidance in this situation.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus name, seeking Your will and guidance in this situation. We ask that You would give us the strength and courage to accept whatever outcome may come. We pray that You would guide our steps and provide a way for us to honor You, no matter what the future holds. We ask for Your peace in this time of uncertainty. If there is a new life, we pray for Your protection and blessing for this baby. In Jesus Christ name we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to stand firm in your faith and to walk in obedience to God's Word. Remember that God calls us to flee from sexual immorality and to honor Him with our bodies. Let us encourage you with these verses from 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. And Ephesians 3:20 WEB Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.
Let us pray one more time.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus name, asking for Your strength and guidance as we walk in obedience to Your Word. Help us to flee from sexual immorality and to honor You with our bodies. Give us the courage to stand firm in our faith, no matter what temptations may come our way. We pray this all in Jesus Christ name. Amen.
