We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you've been facing, and we're here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance. Firstly, we want you to understand the word of God is clear that we do not battle against flesh and blood but instead, against powers and principalities of darkness, Ephesians 6:12.
First, let's address the issues in your marriage. We are concerned to hear there is a lack of communication and understanding between you and your spouse. The first thing to do is to know the Bible is clear about the importance of respect and love in marriage. Wives are called to respect their husbands, and husbands are called to love their wives as Christ loved the church and gave Himself for it, Ephesians 5:25,33. If there is disrespect, it is sin. If there is unloving behavior, it is sin.
We also want you to know that marriage should be a lifelong commitment, one man with one woman. It is important to note that the Bible warns us not to be unequally yoked, 2Corinthians 6:14. Since you are not clear about if your spouse is a Christian or not, we will assume he is not. Therefore, this aspect should be addressed. It is easier to be married to a Christian.
The Bible is clear about the consequences of sin. If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God, Hebrews 10:26,27. We all sin, but we should continue the process of sanctification. Therefore, we urge you to examine your life and your spouse's life for any unrepentant sin and address it.
We also want to address the fact you did not mention the name of Jesus in your request. It is only by the name of Jesus we have access to God because there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. Therefore, salvation is only through Jesus. We encourage you to believe this and call upon the name of Jesus.
Regarding your situation with your managers, we want to remind you that God calls us to be subject to our authorities and masters, 1Peter 2:18. However, if they are indeed rude, then they are not displaying the fruit of the Spirit, which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control, Galatians 5:22,23. Therefore, pray for them and respectfully discuss this issue with them. Also, consider that you might be a light in a dark place, so it is important to live such good lives among them that they might see your good deeds and glorify God, 1Peter 2:12.
Regarding your job and finances, we encourage you to be content in all circumstances, for we brought nothing into the world, and we certainly cannot carry anything out, 1Timothy 6:6,7. We are called to be content in all situations and trust that God will provide for all of our needs, Philippians 4:19. We are also called to work as if we are working for the Lord, Colossians 3:23. If you believe you should have a different job, then pray and ask God for wisdom, which He promises to give if we ask in faith, James 1:5,6. Pray for His will to be done and trust that He will provide for your needs.
Now, let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who is going through a difficult time. We all sin and fall short of Thy Glory. We ask You to forgive her sins, as You have promised in the word, if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We pray for her spouse, that You would change his heart and draw him to Yourself. We pray that their marriage would be a reflection of Your love and grace and align with Your biblical principles, knowing we should not be unequally yoked. We pray for her managers, that You would soften their hearts and help them to treat her with kindness and respect. We pray for her job situation, that You would provide her with a job that suits her status and allows her to use her gifts and abilities for Your glory. We pray for her finances, that You would provide for all of her needs and help her to be content in all circumstances. We pray that You would give her wisdom and guidance as she seeks Your will for her life. We pray that she would come to know Jesus as her Lord and Savior if she has not already. We pray all of this in the power of Jesus' name, who is the only way we can come to You.
Amen.
