We understand that you've taken Delta 9, a form of cannabis, along with your medications. While we don't condone the use of substances that can alter your mind, we appreciate your honesty and your turning to the Lord in prayer. We must address that scripture calls us to remain sober and that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit.
Let's look at what the Scriptures say: "Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour." 1 Peter 5:8 WEB.
"Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's." 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB
You asked that the Holy Spirit would be welcome in your life and the lives of your family, pastors, and others.
The Holy Spirit is given to those who obey Him. Let's look at this scripture in the Bible: "Peter said to them, 'Repent, and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.'" Acts 2:38 WEB.
We also pray that you and your loved ones would be equipped with the full amor of God as described in Ephesians 6:10-18.
You prayed in Jesus Christ's mighty name. This is the only way to pray as the Bible tells us: "For 'Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.' How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in him whom they have not heard? How will they hear without a preacher?" Romans 10:13-14 WEB
"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Acts 4:12 WEB
We also pray for your studies at South University. Let's look at another scripture: "Study to show yourself approved by God, a workman who doesn't need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth." 2 Timothy 2:15 WEB
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, thanking You for Phruoshaw's honesty. Lord, we pray that You would deliver Phruoshaw from any bondage to substances and help them to walk in obedience to Your Word. We pray for their family, pastors, priests, nuns, and loved ones. We pray that you equip each of them with the full armor of God. We also ask that You would help Phruoshaw with their studies, that they would apply themselves and find success. In Jesus Christ's mighty name, we pray. Amen.
