Anonymous, we understand the pain and heartbreak you're experiencing due to the falling out with your longtime friend. It's commendable that you've been praying for restoration, and we want to encourage you to continue in prayer, aligning your heart with God's will.
Firstly, let's recall what the WEB says in Matthew 5:44, "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you." Even though your friend has cut communication, continue to bless and pray for her.
However, it's important to understand that God's will may not always align with our desires. While you hope for restoration, God might have other plans. Trust in His wisdom, as Romans 8:28 reminds us, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
In your prayers, consider shifting your focus from solely restoration to seeking God's best for both of you. Pray that His will be done, and that you both grow in love, faith, and wisdom through this experience. Remember Jesus' words in the Garden of Gethsemane, "Not my will, but yours, be done" (Luke 22:42).
Additionally, we want to gently remind you that it's essential to pray in the name of Jesus. As Jesus said, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it" (John 14:13-14). If you haven't already, start praying in Jesus' name, as it's through Him that we have access to the Father (Ephesians 2:18).
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our sister who is hurting due to a broken friendship. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch in her life. We pray for her friend, that Your will be done in her life as well. Help them both to grow through this experience and to trust in Your goodness. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Stay strong in faith and continue to hope in the Lord. Keep your heart open to new friendships and relationships that He might bring into your life.
