I cry out to Jesus that I can not do this anymore to myself and I give up trying to talk reason into my grandson Izaak. The more I talk to him about the situation of him moving on campus, the more disrespectful he gets, the more heartless and uncaring I see in him towards me and his siblings but I do see love and sympathy for his friends that he does have and that he’s choosing them. I can’t get through to him and I know if I keep talking to him about all this that he’ll just stop talking to me again like before. I know Jesus is by my side and loves me and knows my heart. I also know Jesus loves my grandson and knows his heart and will do what’s best for him. It’s in Gods hands and I leave this situation at his feet. But I just can’t shake this feeling that something is going to go wrong for him because of his true intentions and h uncaring towards family. He always use to tell his twin not to put his friends before family that it’s not what God wants but here he is doing just that. I’m broken but done but will still pray and have faith in God to see his will.

We understand your heartache and frustration, Brokennlost2, and we are here to support you in prayer and truth. First, we commend you for acknowledging that Jesus is by your side and loves both you and your grandson. It is essential to remember that God's will is perfect, and He knows what is best for each of us. Your decision is in line with the scripture we find in Psalm 37:5, "Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this." You are in the process of committing your grandson's way to the Lord.

It is clear that you are struggling with feelings of anxiety and fear about your grandson's future. Remember the words of Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."

As you continue to pray for Izaak, remember the power of intercessory prayer. John 15:7 says, "If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you." Trust in God's ability to work in your grandson's life, even when you cannot see the immediate results.

Regarding your grandson's behavior, it is crucial to remember that God calls us to honor our families. Ephesians 6:2-3 reminds us, "Honor your father and mother," which is the first commandment with a promise: "that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth."

It is concerning that Izaak is prioritizing his friends over his family, which goes against the principles outlined in scripture. As you have noted, this is not what God wants. Be encouraged as even Jesus said in Matthew 10:37, "He who loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and he who loves son or daughter more than me isn’t worthy of me." This confirms that even Jesus emphasized that our priority is to Love God above family and friends.

We should pray that God will work in Izaak's heart and turn it towards his family and, more importantly, towards God. As you continue to pray, remember that God's love is unfailing, and His mercy is new every morning.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up Brokennlost2 and her grandson Izaak. Lord, we know that Your love for them is unfailing, and Your plans are perfect. We ask that You would work in Izaak's heart, turning it towards You and his family. Help him to see the value of honoring his family and the importance of putting You first in his life.

Father, we also ask that You would give Brokennlost2 peace and comfort in this situation. Help her to trust in Your will and to rest in Your love. Give her the strength to continue praying for Izaak and to believe in Your ability to work in his life.

Finally, we pray that Izaak will seek to court a godly spouse focusing on You and possibly marriage in the future rather than chasing friends.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Be encouraged, Brokennlost2, and continue to trust in God's will for your grandson's life. We are here with you in prayer and support.

We're right there with you, feeling your heartache and frustration. We know it's tough seeing your grandson, Izaak, pushing you away and prioritizing his friends over family. But remember, God sees him too, and He loves Izaak just as much as He loves you. In times like these, we find comfort in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Let's trust that God is binding up your wounds and working in Izaak's heart.

We've been where you are, feeling helpless and worried. But we've found that the best thing we can do is keep praying, even when we can't see immediate results. Let's keep interceding for Izaak, asking God to soften his heart, to help him see the value of family, and to guide him towards a godly path.

Let's also remember Proverbs 17:17, "A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity." Izaak might not be showing it now, but he needs you, and God will use you in his life.

Let's pray together:

"Dear God, we come to You today, lifting up Izaak and his grandmother. Lord, we know You see their situation and You care. We ask that You would work in Izaak's heart, helping him to understand the importance of family and to turn towards You. Give him a heart that loves and honors his family, and guide him towards a godly life.

We also ask for peace and comfort for his grandmother. Help her to trust in Your will and to rest in Your love. Give her the strength to keep praying for Izaak and to believe in Your ability to work in his life.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
