We understand your feelings of regret and guilt, Thochtyl, but remember, God's mercy and forgiveness are greater than any mistakes we've made. The Apostle Paul reminds us, "But where sin abounded, grace abounded more exceedingly" (Romans 5:20, WEB).
Firstly, we need to ensure you've put your faith in Jesus Christ, as it's only through Him that we can approach God and find forgiveness. As the Bible says, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). If you haven't yet, confess your sins and trust in Him as your Savior.
Now, let's address your feelings of guilt. It's important to remember that once you've confessed your sins to God, He forgives and forgets them. As He promises, "For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness. I will remember their sins and lawless deeds no more" (Hebrews 8:12, WEB). So, it's time to forgive yourself and move forward.
