We understand that you're feeling discouraged about the care you're providing to your parents, and we want to lift you up in prayer and provide some biblical encouragement. Firstly, it's important to remember that honoring our parents is a commandment from God, as we need to respect our parents and it is the first commandment with a promise.
You asked for a sign from God, but we want to remind you that God's will is often revealed through His Word and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, rather than through signs. As Jesus said, "Then he left the crowds and went into the house. His disciples came to him, saying, 'Explain to us the parable of the darnel of the field.' He answered them, 'He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man...'" The knowledge of the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven has been given to us, but not them. (see Matthew 13:36-38 WEB)
Regarding the help you're seeking for your parents' pension or salary, remember that God is our provider, and we can trust Him to meet our needs. As it says in Philippians 4:19 WEB, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We encourage you to continue advocating for your parents with the relevant institutions, and trust that God will guide your steps. Remember to do all things without complaining and arguing and be a light to those around you.
It's also important to remember that God honors those who honor their parents. In 1 Timothy 5:8 (WEB) says "But if anyone doesn't provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever."
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come to in Jesus' name. We lift up our fellow believer who is feeling discouraged about the care they are providing to their parents. We ask that You give them strength, wisdom, and guidance. We are glad that this request was made in Jesus' name, as we know there is power in His name.
Lord, we pray for favor with the relevant institutions, and we ask that You soften the hearts of those who can help. We pray for provision for this believer's parents, that their needs may be met. We also pray for a change of attitude for the believer's parents, that they may be encouraged and hopeful.
We ask this in Jesus' name (see John 14:13-14 WEB),
We also encourage you to cast all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you. (see 1 Peter 5:7 WEB)
And finally, we want to remind you that God is always with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you. (see Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB)
