Beloved of All
I feel very discouraged about some stuff that I do for my old parents. Should I continue with it or not? Lord, give me a sign and revelation. Help from the state for their higher pension-salary (connected to their health conditions). Circumstances are not favorable and my mother and father are negative. I invested so much time and energy, but it is not over. I need help and guidance from someone. People in institutions are cold and not helpful.

We understand that you're feeling discouraged about the care you're providing to your parents, and we want to lift you up in prayer and provide some biblical encouragement. Firstly, it's important to remember that honoring our parents is a commandment from God, as we need to respect our parents and it is the first commandment with a promise.

You asked for a sign from God, but we want to remind you that God's will is often revealed through His Word and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, rather than through signs. As Jesus said, "Then he left the crowds and went into the house. His disciples came to him, saying, 'Explain to us the parable of the darnel of the field.' He answered them, 'He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man...'" The knowledge of the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven has been given to us, but not them. (see Matthew 13:36-38 WEB)

Regarding the help you're seeking for your parents' pension or salary, remember that God is our provider, and we can trust Him to meet our needs. As it says in Philippians 4:19 WEB, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We encourage you to continue advocating for your parents with the relevant institutions, and trust that God will guide your steps. Remember to do all things without complaining and arguing and be a light to those around you.

It's also important to remember that God honors those who honor their parents. In 1 Timothy 5:8 (WEB) says "But if anyone doesn't provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever."

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come to in Jesus' name. We lift up our fellow believer who is feeling discouraged about the care they are providing to their parents. We ask that You give them strength, wisdom, and guidance. We are glad that this request was made in Jesus' name, as we know there is power in His name.

Lord, we pray for favor with the relevant institutions, and we ask that You soften the hearts of those who can help. We pray for provision for this believer's parents, that their needs may be met. We also pray for a change of attitude for the believer's parents, that they may be encouraged and hopeful.

We ask this in Jesus' name (see John 14:13-14 WEB),

We also encourage you to cast all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you. (see 1 Peter 5:7 WEB)
And finally, we want to remind you that God is always with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you. (see Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB)

Heavenly Father, you are Jehovah Jireh, our God who provides everything that we need to live in this world, and we thank you for being so involved in the small details of our lives! We're here for you, and we understand that you're feeling overwhelmed with the care you're providing for your parents. It's tough, but remember, God sees your efforts and He's right there with you. In Matthew 11:28-29, Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Let's lean on Him together.

We know you're seeking a sign from God, but let's also trust in His promises. In Jeremiah 29:11, God says, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Trust that His plans are good, even when the path is unclear.

Keep advocating for your parents, and remember, God is our provider. In Philippians 4:19, it says, "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus." Trust that He will supply what they need, even if the circumstances seem unfavorable.

Let's also pray for a change of heart in your parents. In 1 Samuel 16:7, God says, "The LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart." Let's ask God to soften their hearts and bring them to a place of peace and understanding.

Let's pray: "Dear Lord, we come to you in Jesus' name. We lift up this person who is caring for their parents. Give them strength, wisdom, and patience. Help them to trust in your promises and to find rest in you. We ask for favor with the institutions involved, and we pray for provision for their parents. Change their hearts, Lord, and help them to see your goodness. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
