We understand that you're feeling skeptical about the Bible and its validity. It's important to remember that it's normal to have doubts and questions, but it's also crucial to seek God's perspective on these feelings. Let's address your concerns together, in Jesus' name.
Firstly, let's consider what the Bible itself says about its divine inspiration. "Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work." (2 Timothy 3:16-17 WEB). The Bible is not just a collection of platitudes, but the inspired word of God, meant to guide us and equip us for a life pleasing to Him.
The Bible also assures us that God's word is true. As it is written, "Sanctify them in your truth. Your word is truth." (John 17:17 WEB). The truth of God's word is not dependent on our feelings, but on the character of God Himself.
It's also important to address the notion that the Bible was merely written by people to evoke good feelings. While it's true that the Bible was physically written by people, they were inspired by the Holy Spirit. "For no prophecy ever came by the will of man: but holy men of God spoke, being moved by the Holy Spirit." (2 Peter 1:21 WEB).
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up Anonymous and their doubts about Your word. Lord, we ask that You reveal the truth of Your word to them, and that Your Holy Spirit would move in their heart, replacing doubt with faith. Help them to see that Your word is not just a collection of platitudes, but Your divine revelation to us. Open their eyes to the power of Your word, and help them to grasp its reality.
The whole Bible is a revelation about Jesus Christ. In John 5:39, Jesus said, "You search the Scriptures, because you think that in them you have eternal life; and these are they which testify about me."
We also pray that Anonymous would come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior if they do not already. We know that the Bible says in Acts 4:12: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" We know that salvation is by faith alone and that it is a gift from God as Ephesians 2:8,9 state: "by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast."
Let us know if there is anything else that you need. Please include the name of Jesus Christ in any further requests.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
