Hulyall, we understand that you feel attacked, and we want to assure you that you are not alone in this struggle. First, let's address the concern about feeling attacked even after reading the entire Bible. It's important to remember that spiritual warfare is real, and the enemy can attack us even when we are diligent in our faith. As it is written in Ephesians 6:12 WEB, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."
It's crucial to put on the whole armor of God to stand against these attacks. This includes the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the preparation of the Good News of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, as outlined in Ephesians 6:13-17.
Regarding those who fast and might be causing you to feel attacked, let's consider the purpose of fasting. In Matthew 6:16-18 WEB, Jesus teaches us, "Moreover when you fast, don't be like the hypocrites, with sad faces. For they disfigure their faces, that they may be seen by men to be fasting. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward. But you, when you fast, anoint your head, and wash your face; so that you are not seen by men to be fasting, but by your Father who is in secret, and your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you."
Fasting should be a private matter between you and God, not a tool to judge or attack others. If you feel attacked by those who fast, it might be helpful to evaluate the intentions behind their actions. Are they truly living out their faith, or are they using their spiritual disciplines to elevate themselves above others?
Remember, Jesus warns us in Matthew 7:1-2 WEB, "Don't judge, so that you won't be judged. For with whatever judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you."
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Hulyall. Lord, we ask for Your protection over them, that You would surround them with Your shield of faith and equip them with the full armor of God. Help them to stand firm against the attacks of the enemy and to walk in Your truth and righteousness.
Father, we also pray for those who may be causing Hulyall to feel attacked. We ask that You would search their hearts and reveal any hidden motives or pride. Help them to fast and live out their faith in a way that honors You and builds up the body of Christ.
Lord, we ask for Your peace and comfort to fill Hulyall's heart. Help them to rest in Your love and to trust in Your faithful promises.
Remind them of the names of Jesus Christ and the power in His name. Let them remember what is written in John 14:6 that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life and it is only by Him that they can go to God. It is also written in Acts 4:12, that salvation and eternal life is found in no one else. It is also by Jesus Christ that they can have eternal life.
Finally, Father, and once again it is only through the name of Jesus Christ and no other that we can pray and ask these things. Thank you in advance for hearing our prayer. It is in Jesus' name that we pray to You. Amen.
Regardless of the struggles that you are facing, always remember to seek the name of Jesus Christ, to call out to God in the name of Jesus Christ, and to trust in His love and goodness. Even if others do not align with biblical principles, continue to live out your faith with love, grace, and truth and trust that God will change hearts and bring about good even in difficult situations.
