I feel like god has abandoned me

There is a very important step for me to take soon and it is going to be impossible. I feel like all the hard work I’ve done is going to go to waste. How do I know what’s within my hands and what’s not. I feel like god has abandoned me in this sensitive time. How do I know what his will is. I can’t pull myself together.

We are truly sorry to hear that you feel this way, but we want to assure you that God has not abandoned you. In fact, He promises, I will never leave you, nor forsake you, in Hebrews 13:5. Even when we don't feel His presence, we can trust that He is always with us, working everything together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose, Romans 8:28.

Firstly, let's address the feeling of abandonment. It's important to remember that our feelings can often deceive us. Just because we feel a certain way does not mean it is true. In times like these, we must hold onto God's promises, not our perceptions. As it is written, Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful, Hebrews 10:23.

Regarding the important step you're about to take, it's natural to feel overwhelmed, but remember, God will never give you more than you can bear, I Corinthians 10:13. It's also important to understand that our strength comes from Him, not ourselves. In Philippians 4:13, it is written, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

About knowing God's will, it's revealed to us through His Word and prayer. The Bible tells us, Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path, in Psalm 119:105. Spend time in His Word, asking Him to reveal His will to you. Also, Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7.

Lastly, it's concerning that you mentioned you can't pull yourself together. Remember, in our weakness, He is strong, II Corinthians 12:10. Trust Him, depend on Him, and He will sustain you.

We noticed that the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ was not mentioned in your request. Please know that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. If you have not already, consider accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved, Romans 10:9.

We're here for you, we truly understand how you're feeling right now. It's like the weight of the world is on your shoulders, and it's hard to see a way forward. But remember, God hasn't given up on you, and He hasn't abandoned you. He's right there with you, even when you can't feel His presence.

You're at a crossroads, and it's natural to feel uncertain. But God promises in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Trust that He has a purpose in this, and He's working everything out for your good.

As for knowing what's within your hands and what's not, remember, God's got this. He's in control, and He sees the bigger picture. You just focus on doing your part, and trust Him for the rest. As it says in Matthew 11:28-29, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."

Let's pray together: "Dear Heavenly Father, we lift up our friend to you. Comfort them, Lord. Give them strength and wisdom for the step ahead. Help them to trust in you, even when they can't see the way. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
