We understand that you're feeling alone in your struggle, but let's make sure your full submission meets the guidelines.
We are concerned about your statement, 'I feel alone in my struggle.' It is unfortunate that you feel this way. God's word, however, speaks to us about how God is with us in our struggles. It says in Romans 8:38-39,
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Therefore God will not leave us or forsake us, even when we are suffering. Let this be encouraging to you.
Your post contains the question, 'Has there ever been a Christian that dabbled in the occult after they were Christian then repented?'. This question sounds like one who has been having experiences with the occult. Dabbling in the occult is strictly forbidden and condemned according to Galatians 5:19-21:
Now the works of the flesh are obvious, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
Observe how the occult is classified with other heinous acts including adultery, sexual immorality, and idolatry. These evil acts are eligible to be forgiven as most evil acts can be.
We will provide a heartfelt prayer for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today to lift up Elfbaugh, who is feeling alone in their struggle. We pray that you will surround them with your love and comfort, and remind them that you are always with them, even in the darkest of times. We also know God has mercy on repentant believers.
Lastly, after our review, your submission did not contain the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus Name). If the request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus Name), then make sure to discuss this issue. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).
In Jesus' Name, we pray
Amen.
