I don’t want my son ### to go back to drinking alcohol

My son ### is staying with his older brother who drinks ### just came out of Rehab about a month ago he been sober since March of this year I called him tonight and he told me he had a drink I am so upset with him but I know it’s the devil please pray that my son ### doesn’t throw his sober life away and I pray my son ### stops drinking alcohol to so they can live together without alcohol in Jesus name I pray Amen

We understand your concern and heartache, ###. It's crucial to remember that we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). We will stand with you in prayer for ### and ###.

Firstly, let's pray:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up ### and ###. Lord, we know that You desire for them to lead sober and godly lives. We ask that You strengthen ### against temptation, and help him to stand firm in his resolve to stay sober. We also pray for ###, that he would seek Your will and turn away from alcohol. Help them both to be a positive influence on each other, and to live together in harmony, with Your love guiding their actions. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

It's important to remember that God promises us, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13). Encourage ### with this truth, reminding him that God is with him and will provide a way out of temptation.

We also encourage you to speak the truth in love to both ### and ### (Ephesians 4:15). Explain to them the destructive path of alcohol and remind them of God's desire for them to live sober and holy lives (1 Peter 1:15-16).

Lastly, continue to pray fervently for them, trusting that God hears your prayers and is working in their lives. As it says in James 5:16, "The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
