In times of distress and uncertainty, it's crucial to turn to God, who is our refuge and strength. We are glad you have reached out for prayer, and we stand with you in this difficult time. First, we want to address the elephant in the room. You mentioned that you are pregnant and have taken a pregnancy test. You did not mention a husband or spouse. We assume you are not married or in a godly marriage. Being pregnant without a spouse is fornication. Fornication is sin. If this is the case, you need to know this is a sin against God. He will not bless your situation if it is sinful. In fact, you cannot have confidence in your prayers if you regard, harbor, or walk in sin. Your sin will cause others to not pray for you effectively if you are unrepentant and living in sin. It may even cause others to sin for you such as lying to cover any shame. The Bible tells us, "Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them." If you are pregnant and unmarried, we urge you to repent of this sin, turn to Jesus Christ, and trust in Him for forgiveness. If you are married and you are pregnant, we pray for blessings and a healthy baby.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister in her time of need. Lord, You are the giver of life and the source of all healing. We pray for Your divine intervention in her situation. If she has sinned, we pray she will repent and turn from her sin. If she is married, we pray for blessings and divine protection over her baby.
Father, we ask that You guide the doctors and medical professionals who will be involved in her care, granting them wisdom and discernment. We pray for a healthy pregnancy, free from complications, and for the safe delivery of a healthy baby. May this child grow to know and love You, serving You all the days of their life. If she has sinned, we pray for conviction and encouragement from the Holy Spirit.
Lord, we also pray for her emotional and spiritual well-being. Comfort her in this time of uncertainty, and grant her peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind her of Your unfailing love and faithfulness, and help her to trust in You completely. If she does not know Jesus as Lord and Savior, we pray she will come to a saving knowledge of Him.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to meditate on the following scriptures:
Psalm 139:13-16 WEB
For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother's womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well. My frame wasn't hidden from you, when I was made in secret, woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my body. In your book they were all written, the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there were none of them.
Jeremiah 1:5 WEB
Before I formed you in the belly, I knew you. Before you came forth out of the womb, I sanctified you. I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.
Isaiah 41:10 WEB
Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.
I am Saved, Baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost as is my Husband of 13 years and our 5 out of 6 children. I was just asking for agreement in prayer for my painful pregnancy, maybe I should not pray for myself I'm sorry wasn't sure if it was just wrong or sinful. Still learning.
