Beloved of All
I am struggling to understand something. As Lord Creator of All, God surely has dominion over all in this universe, and the Holy Bible seems to tell that God is beyond time. King Hezekiah experienced time moving backwards, Moses and Elijah were brought to meet Jesus, and the sun did stay in the sky to help Israel win their battle. I do not understand why time cannot be manipulated in this way to save the life of a good, loyal, faithful and hardworking mortal. Surely our Lord can do anything with His creation, and manipulating time would surely benefit His children enormously. I understand God's thoughts and ways being higher than our thoughts and ways, but even so, I struggle. Time cannot be more powerful than God, as that would make time into God, surely God can manipulate His creation. Take as an example my friend's brain haemorrhage, or any of the other brain haemorrhages around the world every day. C's Haemorrhage was small and we are all enormously thankful to God for that, as it was surely His Grace which kept it small, but if God could just manipulate time for those who are in desperate need of it, He would be mightily Praised and His name would be Glorified to the highest. I'm just puzzled. There are thousands of brain haemorrhages every day, and yet C's was caused by her having to send her results to her Physicians without the assistance she so desperately sought. If she could send the information again, even with Free Will, it would doubtless make her well and able to serve God immediately. Please help me, My faith is strong, but I'm struggling to understand why a God who can work such Miracles, will leave his children in pain and terror. Surely it can't all be to draw his children closer to Him and increase their need for Him. Although God is the ultimate power, I do not understand the 'not healing everyone who needs to be healed. When people are old, and they start getting more and more illnesses, perhaps the best thing is to take them from this earth, but when people are still young and wish to serve God, why not help, and heal them all. C. did k get no help when her brain haemorrhage struck, although she cried out to God, and her brain damage is such that she cannot survive it and she has a young family who will be devastated by her loss. There are people born every day with terrible conditions which put them through intense pain and suffering every day of their lives, why does God not help them? If C had received help when she had to hurriedly send the information to her Physicians, she would not be terrified of what will become of her, she would not have just had a Christmas absolutely broken hearted because she could not help the poor and the needy and the homeless.. I have seen miraculous and medically unexplainable things myself, but somehow they seem to be very few, when God could, and surely would, save as many people as possible whilst they are still living. I do not wish to lose my best friend of many years, but she cannot remain in this world without the information being changed, and I don't actually think that will happen, no matter how many people Pray. Unless she is completely healed, I will lose her anyway. She is terrified, as she watched her father die of strokes and she knows how terrible that can be. I suppose really, what I'm asking, is why many thousands of people lose sleep every night by fervently Praying, and yet their Prayers are so often unanswered, no matter how strong their faith. I am not of the Roman Catholic Faith and perhaps Popes look forward to spending eternity with God, but I am still puzzled. A lady of my acquaintance has fervently Prayed for her husband, her oldest friend, her daughter in law and several other family members, and has now lost all faith and turned her back on the Church. She puts it in terms of she is not God's friend right now. Surely such a power as God Almighty can help a few more people to stay in this life with their families until they are very old and looking toward Heaven. Or are the Atheists correct?

Let us address this together, dear friend. You've touched on some profound aspects of God's nature and His work in our lives. Firstly, it is important that we understand we can only come to God in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. You said nothing about coming to God in Jesus Name. The Holy Bible teaches that no one comes to the Father except through the Son Jesus Christ. Jesus said I am the way the truth and the life, no one comes through to the Father except through me.

You are correct that God is the sovereign Lord of all creation and He is indeed beyond time, as He is eternal. The instances you mentioned, such as King Hezekiah's experience (2 Kings 20:8-11), Moses and Elijah appearing with Jesus (Matthew 17:3), and the sun standing still for Israel's victory (Joshua 10:12-14), are all biblical accounts showing God's power over time and nature. However, we must also understand God's purposes and His wisdom in allowing certain events to unfold.

God's thoughts and ways are indeed higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). While we may not fully comprehend why He allows certain things to happen, we trust in His goodness and His plan. It is important to remember that our lives on earth are temporary, and God's ultimate goal is to draw us to Himself for eternity.

Regarding healing, it is true that God can heal anyone and anything. The Bible tells us that by His stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5, 1 Peter 2:24). However, healing is not always physical in this life. Sometimes, God's healing is spiritual, emotional, or relational. Paul, for instance, prayed three times for the removal of his "thorn in the flesh," but God's response was, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness" (2 Corinthians 12:7-9).

In the case of your friend's brain hemorrhage, we pray for God's healing touch and mercy. While we may not understand why some are healed and others are not, we trust in God's love and wisdom. We must also remember that our earthly bodies are temporary, and our ultimate hope is in the resurrection and eternal life with Christ. The Holy Bible teaches Jesus is the resurrection and the life, all who believe in him will not perish but have everlasting life.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we come before You, seeking Your will and wisdom. We lift up our friend who is struggling with a brain hemorrhage. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we ask for Your healing touch on her life. We also pray for her family, that You would comfort and strengthen them during this difficult time. Help us to trust in Your goodness and Your plan, even when we do not understand. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, we must address the issue of turning away from God due to unanswered prayers. While it is natural to feel disappointed or even angry, we must remember that God's love for us is unfailing and His ways are perfect. Let us encourage one another with these truths and continue to pray and trust in Him. We must also remember that God is not a genie who grants wishes. He is our loving Heavenly Father who knows what is best for us. He knows everything about us and everything about our future. He sees all, knows all, and is all powerful. He is worthy of our complete trust. Jesus said that not my will but thy will be done. He prayed this prayer while praying about his crucifixion.

Dear friend, we're here with you, praying alongside you. We understand your struggle to comprehend why time can't be manipulated to save lives, especially when God has shown power over time in the past. It's true that God's ways are higher than ours, and His thoughts are not our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9). But let's remember, God is love (1 John 4:8), and His love for us is unfailing.

We've seen God perform miracles throughout history, and we believe He still does today. Let's trust that He is at work, even when we don't understand. Maybe the answer isn't about manipulating time, but about trusting God's timing. Remember, God's delays are not God's denials.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, in Jesus' name, we come before You, trusting in Your love and wisdom. We lift up our friend, C., and her family. We ask for Your healing touch on her life, and for Your comfort and strength for her family. Lord, we trust that You see her, You care, and You're working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28). Help us to trust in Your timing, even when it's hard. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

God heals!! God healed me. But he didn't do it when I wanted him to. He did it when I needed him to. I had six months of misery and "terror" leading up to it. Do you think I cared about that after he healed me!? DONT QUIT!!! DONT GIVE UP!!! DONT WAIVER!! It's hard, I get it. STAY... THE....COURSE!! Look up the Utube courses on Kenneth Hagin healing. That will help. Praying for you. To God be the Glory! He rescued me from certain death!! In his time!

PS, don't want to sound like a jerk. But no one really knows how great their faith is until it's put under trial. Like the trial your in now. DONT WAIVER!! Dig in!!! I could talk about this experience forever. More time then I have here. But God is merciful and faithful! Don't quit!

*** Remember the invalid God, (Jesus) healed in the Bible? He was lame for 38 years! Do you think he prayed? Do you think he asked God why? Then one day......God (Jesus) showed up. And he showed up specifically for him!!

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

We continue to lift you and your friend up in prayer, asking God to grant you both His peace and understanding during this difficult time. We are grateful that you have allowed us to stand in agreement with you in prayer.

If God has provided an answer, even if it is an increase in faith or peace in the midst of the storm, we would love to hear about it. Your testimony could encourage others who are going through similar trials. If your request does not seem to have been answered yet, please feel free to post it again as a new request. We want to continue praying for you and for your friend.

When we look at the examples of Hezekiah, or Moses and Elijah, or the battle where the sun stood still, we remember that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts. We may not always understand why God acts in certain ways, but we trust in His goodness and His love for us.

In your struggle to understand, remember that Jesus Himself asked that if it were possible, let the cup of suffering be taken from Him. Yet, He ended His request with "Yet not my will, but yours be done." God's answer to Jesus was to provide the strength to endure the cross, and through that endurance, came the salvation of the world.

God may not always change the circumstances, but He promises to be with us through them. He promises to give us the strength to endure, and through that endurance, we may see His purposes accomplished in ways we never imagined.

Continue to seek Him, continue to trust in His goodness, and continue to bring your requests before Him. We are praying for you, for your friend, and for her family. We are asking God to heal, to comfort, and to provide His peace that passes all understanding. We are asking for miracles, but we are also asking for the strength to endure and trust in His goodness, whatever the outcome.

We are praying that your faith would be strengthened, that you would see God's hand at work in your life and in the life of your friend. We are praying that you would know God's love and His peace in a deeper way. We are praying for healing, for miracles, for understanding, and for the grace to accept whatever God allows in your life. We are praying in Jesus Name.
