I dont understand how most Christians can be happy in negative situations.If something is bad its bad.I cant be a phony and pretend hsppiness in contrary situations.My rections are accurate to the circumstances.

We are not commanded to be happy in adverse situations but we are commanded to rejoice and be thankful in all circumstances (see 1 Thess. 5:16-18) as an act of faith trusting God that He can work all things for good and because we (if we have become born again through faith in Jesus) have an inheritance in heaven that we can look forward to that makes everything here on earth pale in comparison (see Romans 8:18 "For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us."). Remember how Jesus said "I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take courage; I have overcome the world!” (John 16:33). Paul also said "If our hope in Christ is for this life alone, we are to be pitied more than all men." (1 Corinthians 15:19) and in 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 he also said "17For our light and momentary affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory that is far beyond comparison. 18So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." This can only be done by faith and this faith is something we cannot produce ourselves. Its something that we can ask for though. I'm not saying I have arrived. I get mad and anxious and grumble and complain. I lash back when someone hurts me not like the girl talked about in this video. By the way, Richard Wurmbrand himself (the pastor in the video) spent 14 years in prison in Romania when it was still communist. Many of these years he spent in solitary confinement in a dark cell but he gave a very powerful talk once (before he died) talking about the biblical command to rejoice and how he did that even when beaten all the time, in a dark lonely cell away from family for years. Unfortunately I only have it in German. It convicted me. I'm so often controlled by outer circumstances and my prayer is to be more joyful, to have more Agape love in my heart (Rom. 5:5).

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
