We understand that you're going through a challenging time, and we're here to support you in prayer and to provide biblical guidance.
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging that you might be experiencing spiritual attacks due to your past involvements. It's crucial to remember that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms Ephesians 6:12.
We need to be clear that God takes involvement in witchcraft and paganism very seriously. The Bible tells us to not turn to mediums or spiritists; do not seek them out, and so make yourselves unclean by them. I am the LORD your God Leviticus 19:31. And Deuteronomy 18:10-12 tells us Let no one be found among you who sacrifices their son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the LORD; because of these same detestable practices the LORD your God will drive out those nations before you. It is important to have no contact with this person and remember, Christ has given us power to cast out and renounce such practices.
We encourage you to put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace Ephesians 6:11.
Regarding your feelings for this other person, it's important to approach this situation with wisdom and discernment. We are called to be wise as serpents and harmless as doves Matthew 10:16. It is good that you are being cautious, but make sure that your caution does not turn into fear. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind 2 Timothy 1:7.
Remember, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control Galatians 5:22-23. If this person exhibits these qualities, it's a good indication of their character. However, if they do not then proceed with caution and wisdom. However, make sure that you are not unequally yoked with an unbeliever, which is forbidden. Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness 2 Corinthians 6:14?
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today, lifting up our sister in Christ who is experiencing turmoil and confusion. We pray for your divine protection over her life, that you would shield her from any spiritual attacks and grant her discernment to recognize and resist any attempts of the enemy to cause harm or deception.
Lord, we ask for your healing touch upon her emotions and her mind. Help her to think clearly and rationally, and grant her the courage to face her fears and overcome her past experiences. Give her a spirit of power, love, and self-control, and help her to trust in you and in others again.
Father, we also pray for wisdom and discernment as she navigates her feelings for this other person. Guide her steps and help her to make decisions that honor you and align with your will for her life. Help her identify if this a godly relationship with a potential for godly marriage. Give her clarity and peace regarding this relationship, and help her to communicate openly and honestly with this person.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we rebuke any spirits of fear, confusion, and deception that may be influencing her life. We command these spirits to flee and never return, and we ask that you fill her with your Holy Spirit, empowering her to live a life of freedom, joy, and purpose.
Lastly, Father, we thank you for your unfailing love and faithfulness. We trust that you are working all things together for her good, and we ask that you would help her to see and understand your purpose in this season of her life.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Remember, stay strong in the Lord and in the power of His might Ephesians 6:10. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith Hebrews 12:2. Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge Psalm 62:8.
