I don't mean to tempt Your power, Jesus, but I need to see Your blessing in music in a big way. 20 years is too long with no progress - I've seen people nearly half my age with more to show for themselves.
It hurts me, Lord, because I know You can change anything You want about my life. It makes me wonder where I stand with You, whether You love me or if I am so undesirable I should no longer try.
Do not make my life the exception to the word, neither hold me under a law that is done away with since the cross, my God, - because You have the power Jesus Christ, and there is no other.
Forgive me my shortcomings - clearly as a man I have the flaws common to man.
But show me the promise You made where You said You would be bringing me to prosper, as You spoke through Your servants the prophets. Show me these things in life, Lord, because I need them - they are my only inheritance.
I am asking for the door to open in music, - I am asking for the door to finally open, Jesus Christ, - I am knocking on the door - will you open to me?
I lay no claim to my offering I bring here in the temple, and I do not ask other than to have those things that I should have - even whatever is good.
Jesus Christ, Lord of my soul, do You love me? If You love me, please see to my heart which has tried in vain for two decades. Let me come into Your temple with praise, God, in the day when You accomplish in me the desires of my heart, and bring food and substance to my soul.
Jesus Christ, passover comes soon - and I give You thanks for Your gift to me and to all Christians on the cross, even Your sacrifice to God for the salvation of sinners like myself. Without You, Jesus, we are lost, but with You there is no cause that is lost neither any hope had in vain.
Jesus Christ, I need Your help, because I can't do this on my own. I don't know how else to ask, I do not know the right words to speak to my Creator, or the right prayer to pray regarding this - other than to say that I cannot do it on my own, and that I need Your help exclusively Lord Jesus.
Men may not understand me, and they may speak ill of me, and they slander and lay traps around me - but my hope in Jesus is not had in vain - neither do I hold any enemies of mine in contempt.
This is the crossroads of my life, Lord. This is the fork in the road - and this is the place where I was seeking saying in my heart that You would change the outcome for me, because I know that You can.
I have no power of my own over my own purpose for living - I have no power at all that is my own. Even all of these things, and their success, lay at Your feet - and only You are able to make something of this man You created.
Only You are able to show me what I need to see, day in and day out, in order for me to understand both You and myself better, Jesus. There is no other gatekeeper, - neither is there any man alive who of his own power can fulfill the desires of my heart, but the Spirit of God can - and I accept the Spirit of God as truth, and the Lord Jesus as my savior on the cross.
Let me be baptized in the spirit, Lord - and let me be fortified, - let people come to hear the gifts of music I give to You, - and let them see that a musician of the Lord is not forgotten about.
I claim it, Jesus Christ - it is the inheritance of those who believe in You - who on earth has power to deny it if You give it? So let it come, so that I can have a full heart - and a full life.
I need Your angels God, and I need Your divine help - is there no helpful angel in heaven who is willing to help a sinner like me? If it is a mountain that must be moved, I am right to ask God to move it, and I have faith that You can move it Jesus. I know that is among the least of Your abilities - but I do ask it of You, and with my head held low, because without You I am unsaveable - and there is no hope at all for me.
