We understand your distress, Callum, and we're here to pray with you and guide you according to God's word.
Firstly, we commend you for bringing your concerns to God in the name of Jesus Christ, as it's only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6, WEB).
However, we need to align our desires with God's will. The Bible tells us, "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and donβt lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB). It's crucial to trust God with your feelings and your future.
Regarding your promise to Tia, it's important to note that our ultimate allegiance is to God. Promises made outside of God's will should not bind us. The Bible warns against making rash vows (Proverbs 20:25, WEB). If Tia is indeed in love with someone else, it might be God's way of redirecting both of your lives.
Moreover, the concept of finding each other in the next life is not biblically sound. We should focus on our relationship with God in this life and trust Him for the future. As Jesus said, "But seek first Godβs Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." (Matthew 6:33, WEB).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ. Lord, we lift up Callum to you. We pray that you will comfort his heart and help him to trust in your divine plan for his life. If it is your will for Callum and Tia to be together, we pray that you would make a way. But if not, we ask that you would help Callum to accept this and move forward in your will. Help him to seek you first and to strive for righteousness. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, Callum. God loves you and has a plan for your life (Jeremiah 29:11, WEB). Focus on your relationship with Him, and He will guide your path.
