We hear your cry and stand with you in this dark time. Firstly, we want to remind you that your faith in Jesus Christ is your lifeline. In Psalm 34:18 WEB it says, I tell you, Yahweh will deliver them.
Depression can be a spiritual attack or a result of difficult circumstances, but it can also be a medical condition. There is no shame in seekin medical help. It is wise to consult with doctors and counselors while trusting God for healing. In 2 Corinthians 12:8-9 WEB, the Apostle Paul says, Concerning this thing, I begged the Lord three times that it might depart from me. He has said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on meThe Lord's power is made perfect in our weakness, and He is faithful to us in our times of need.
However, we want to remind you that God is ultimately the one who heals and restores. In Psalm 147:3 WEB it says, He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Put your hope in Him, and trust that He is working even in this difficult time. As a group we will pray for you.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our fellow believer who is battling depression. Lord, You are the God of all comfort and healing, and we ask for Your hand to be on them right now. Give them the strength to endure, and show them Your love and faithfulness. Guide them to the right doctors and counselors, and give wisdom to those who are treating them. Most importantly, Lord, bring healing and deliverance, whether supernaturally or through medical means. Remind them of Your promises, and fill them with Your peace. You also promised us that You will never leave us or forsake us. Remind them of Your constant presence, and help them to trust in You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage you to seek out a local church or Christian community for support. Being around fellow believers can provide encouragement, prayer, and practical help.
