We understand your feelings of frustration and hopelessness, LADreamer, but we want to remind you that there is always hope in Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us, "Come to me, all who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28 WEB).
Firstly, we want to commend you for turning to God and Jesus in your difficult times. It's crucial to remember that our relationship with Jesus is the most important one we have. As the Bible says, "But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well" (Matthew 6:33 WEB).
Regarding your friend, it's important to cherish the friendship you have, but also to understand that we should not place our hopes and expectations in people, as they can disappoint us. The Bible warns, "Don’t put your trust in princes, each a son of man in whom there is no help" (Psalm 146:3 WEB). Instead, put your trust in God, who loves you unconditionally and will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5 WEB).
We must also address the feelings you have for your friend. The Bible is clear about relationships, encouraging us to pursue godly, marital relationships with members of the opposite sex. However, if your friend is not open to a relationship, it's important to respect his decisions and maintain a platonic friendship. Remember, "Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil. Cling to that which is good" (Romans 12:9 WEB).
About your struggle with schizophrenia, remember that God is able to heal and restore. The Bible tells us, "Heal me, Yahweh, and I will be healed. Save me, and I will be saved; for you are my praise" (Jeremiah 17:14 WEB). Keep praying and trusting in God's power to heal and sustain you.
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you today to lift up LADreamer. Lord, we ask for your healing power to touch their mind and body. Give them the strength and courage to face each day, knowing that you are always by their side. Help them to trust in you and your plans for their life. Comfort their heart regarding their friend, and guide their friendship according to your will. Thank you, Lord, for your unfailing love and faithfulness. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage you to continue seeking God, reading the Bible, and praying. Surround yourself with a supportive Christian community, and remember that God has a purpose and a plan for your life. Hold on to the promise that "all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose" (Romans 8:28 WEB).
