We understand that you are going through a challenging time, Phruoshaw, and we appreciate your openness in sharing your struggles. First and foremost, we want to address the issue of alcohol and substance use. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 5:18, "Don't be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Spirit." Relying on substances like alcohol or drugs (Delta) for enhancement or escape is not God's plan for our lives. We encourage you to seek help and support to overcome this challenge. If you need assistance in this, please reach out to a local Christian organization that deals with addiction.
We commend you for praying for your family, pastor, priests, friends, and even your enemies. Jesus taught us in Matthew 5:44, "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you," and in Matthew 22:37-39 we are taught to love God and love others. This is a wonderful reflection of Christ's love in your heart. Remember that prayer is powerful and effective, and it brings us closer to God and aligns our hearts with His will.
Regarding your studies at South University, we encourage you to trust in God's wisdom and strength. In Philippians 4:13, we are reminded, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." And in James 1:5, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."
We also notice that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer request. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God's throne of grace. As it says in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me," and in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." We encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ if you have not already, and to pray in His name.
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Phruoshaw. Lord, we ask for Your forgiveness if they have sinned and for Your strength to overcome the temptation of alcohol and substances. Help them to pass their studies and grow in wisdom and knowledge. Bless their family, pastor, priests, friends, and even their enemies with Your love and grace. Draw them all closer to You, Lord, including Phruoshaw. And if Phruoshaw has not yet come to saving faith in Jesus Christ, we pray that they would do so now and be saved.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
