Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, interceding on behalf of Steven Bobb. Lord, we acknowledge that you are a God of love and justice. Your word teaches us that the wages of sin is death, and that you will render to every person according to their deeds. We understand that there will be a day of judgment for unrepentant sinners.
Father, Steven is struggling with the apparent contradiction he sees between what he reads in the Bible and what he observes in the world. He sees people intentionally causing harm to others, yet their lives seem to go unpunished, even prospering. It is difficult for him to understand how justice is being served in these situations.
We pray, Lord, that you would grant Steven wisdom and discernment to see beyond the surface appearances. Help him to trust in your perfect timing and justice. Remind him of your promise in Psalm 37:7, which says, "Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices."
Father, we ask that you would bring conviction and repentance to those who have intentionally caused harm to others. May they come to a place of genuine remorse and seek your forgiveness. We also pray for healing and restoration for the victims of these wrongdoings. Comfort them, Lord, and bring justice and restoration into their lives.
In all things, we trust in your sovereignty and your perfect plan. Help Steven to find peace and assurance in knowing that you are a God who sees all things and will ultimately bring justice to every situation. We thank you for your love, mercy, and justice.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
