I came back from my trip to the stone age with hurricane Irma, without electricity for 4 days. Well, I guess there was a lesson to be learned: it makes you more humble, more appreciative of what you have when you don't have it, and showed me a pattern that I've seen before—the unsaved giving themselves all the praise (instead of God). "When our backs are against the wall, WE (not with God's help) always come through." I guess some people learn lessons, and some don't. It also showed me something I already know—God could show people things as much as He wants, but if the person is closed off to receiving it, they won't learn from it.

We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect.
