We understand that you're going through a challenging time, and we're here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance. First, let's address the issue of breaking a promise to God. In Ecclesiastes 5:4-5 WEB, it's written, "When you vow a vow to God, don't defer to pay it; for he has no pleasure in fools. Pay that which you vow. It is better that you should not vow, than that you should vow and not pay."
Breaking a promise to God is a serious matter, and it's important to repent and ask for His forgiveness. However, it's not God's nature to punish us for our sins; instead, He disciplines us to bring us back to Him. As Hebrews 12:6 WEB says, "For whom the Lord loves, he disciplines, and scourges every son whom he receives."
Regarding your relationship, we need to address that the Bible teaches us to flee from sexual immorality and lustful pleasures. It's clear that any sexual activity outside of marriage is against God's will. As 1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB says, "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body."
Moreover, the Bible teaches us that a believer should not be unequally yoked with an unbeliever. As 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB says, "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" This is important to consider as you evaluate your relationship during this break.
We also want to encourage you to seek God's will for your life and to trust in Him during this stressful time at your job. As Romans 8:28 WEB says, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today in Jesus' name, asking for Your forgiveness and mercy upon this child of Yours. We confess that promises have been broken, and we ask for Your strength and willpower to uphold the promises made to You. Lord, we ask for Your comfort and guidance during this stressful time at work, and we pray for Your will to be done in this relationship. We ask for clarity and discernment during this break, that You may reveal any areas that do not align with Your will. We pray against any attacks from the enemy and ask for Your protection and peace. We ask this all in Jesus' name, Amen."
Lastly, we want to encourage you to keep your focus on Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we can be saved. If you have not done so, we encourage you to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. As Acts 4:12 WEB says, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
