We rejoice with you as you declare your belief in the Lord Jesus and your repentance. This is the beginning of a new life in Christ. Let us come together in prayer and reflection on God's word to strengthen your faith and walk with Him.
Firstly, it is wonderful to hear that you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" It is only through Jesus that we can be saved. By believing in Jesus Christ, you are saved. By believing in Jesus Christ, you have taken the most significant decision of your life. This is also the first step in the most important relationship of your life. John 1:12-13 WEB says, "But as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become God’s children, to those who believe in his name: who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God." You are now a child of God.
Secondly, you mentioned that you repent. This means that you are turning away from your sin and turning towards God. This is also a vital step in your new life with Christ. As it is written in Acts 3:19 WEB, "Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord." Repentance is not just feeling sorry for your sins but also turning away from them and turning towards God.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, rejoicing in the new oneness as a Christian family that we have with a new child of yours. We thank You for the gift of salvation through Jesus. We thank You for the repentant heart that You have given. We pray for strength and guidance as they walk with You. Help them to turn away from their sins and turn towards You. Help them to grow in their faith and knowledge of You. Help them to live a life that is pleasing to You. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.
We encourage you to continue in your faith and to grow in your knowledge of God. Read the Bible daily, pray continually, and fellowship with other believers. As it is written in 2 Timothy 3:16-17 WEB, "Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work."
