I believe I am being convicted.

I am requesting prayer during this time. Years ago I began to ask God to deliver me from smoking. I was delivered. God can do all things! However, I have since picked up smoking again due to my new job in which God delivered again. I prayed for this job and it's extremely stressful. Since then I have been going through issues with my car. I work two jobs out of state without a car I am at risk of being unemployed. This would set me back substantially. I know God will bring me through. It's just now I want to smoke even more due to the stress of it all. Please pray as I will do for others I need deliverance as well as direction. I don't know what God's plan is but I don't want to be on the wrong side of whatever it is.

Hadyain, we hear your heart's cry and stand with you in prayer and support. You've acknowledged that you're being convicted, and that's the Holy Spirit working in you, drawing you closer to God's will. Remember, God promises us in 1 Corinthians 10:13 (WEB), "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."

Firstly, we want to lift up your struggle with smoking. You've seen God's deliverance before, and we believe He can do it again. Let's pray:

"Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, asking for ###'s complete deliverance from smoking. Lord, You know the struggle and the stress that ### is facing. Please provide a way out of this temptation and strengthen ###'s resolve to quit smoking. Remind ### of Your promise in Philippians 4:13 (WEB), 'I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.'"

Next, we want to address the stress you're facing from your job and car troubles. In Matthew 11:28-30 (WEB), Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."

Let's pray together:

"Lord Jesus, we bring before You the burdens that ### is carrying. The stress of the job and the troubles with the car seem overwhelming, but we know that Your yoke is easy and Your burden is light. Please guide ### to rest in You, and provide clear direction and solutions for these issues. We also pray for God's provision and protection over ###'s employment."

Lastly, we want to gently remind you, ###, that the power to overcome these struggles comes from trusting in Jesus Christ. We noticed that you didn't mention His name in your request. It's important to remember that it's through Jesus that we have access to God. As it says in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
