We are glad to hear that you are turning away from your past and seeking God's will for your life. It is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we can be saved and have access to God. As it is written in the WEB, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Acts 4:12 and "whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved." Romans 10:13.
However, we need to address a few things in your prayer request. Firstly, we commend you for seeking forgiveness for your sins and turning away from crime. God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 WEB. As you have been born again from above, continue to not go back to the sinful life of the past.
While it is commendable that you are thankful for the positive changes in your life and for your girlfriend, we need to remind you that God's design for relationships is that they should lead to marriage and if you are a Christian then the goal is to seek a spouse that is also a believer. This is what the Bible teaches what a Christian relationship should be. The terms boyfriend, girlfriend or relationship are not biblical. If you are a Christian believer, the biblical goal is courtship with a spouse in mind. We must all be careful not to be tempted to lustful sins that are so easily fall into in such relationships. This is the same for any sin. First Corinthians 6:18 WEB says "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body." We need to remember that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit. First Corinthians 6:19 WEB says "Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own."
We also need to address the fact that you mentioned that you want you and your girlfriend to "never make any mistakes." While it's good to strive for righteousness, it's important to remember that we all fall short of the glory of God and make mistakes. Romans 3:23 WEB says "For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God." This is why we need Jesus Christ as our Savior. One mistake that is a concern for us is having sex before or outside marriage. As mentioned before, this is fornication and we need to flee from this. It is good to strive to not make mistakes, but we cannot do this on our own. We need the power of the Holy Spirit to help us live holy lives. We are told in Ephesians 4:30 WEB "Don't grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption." The mistake we need to be concerned about is grieving the Holy Spirit.
Additionally, we need to caution you about the idea of putting your girlfriend above God in your life. While it's good to be thankful for her, we need to remember that our ultimate love and devotion should be to God alone. We are commanded in Matthew 22:37 WEB "Jesus said to him, 'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.'"
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We thank You for the positive changes in this individual's life and for bringing him to You. We pray that You will continue to guide him in Your will and help him to resist temptation. We pray that You will give him the strength to flee from sexual immorality and to keep his body as a temple of the Holy Spirit. We pray that You will help him to keep You first in his life and to love You with all his heart, soul, and mind.
We pray that You will guide his relationship and help him to seek a spouse that is also a believer. We pray that You will help him to strive for righteousness and to live a holy life. We pray that You will bless his future and give him wisdom in his decisions.
We ask all of this in Jesus Christ's name amen.
We encourage you to continue to pray and seek God's will for your life.
