Beloved of All
I would like to ask for prayers of set strong boundaries with my whole family.

I want to bring my mother to everyone. She is the most difficult person I know. I am not saying this to be mean. It is incredibly hard to talk to her as she takes everything the wrong way and gets very nasty at times. She is also very emotionally immature.

I would like to cut ties with her for the sake of my mental health this year. She is unable to see me as I am today because, she is stuck in head about my past. I would appreciate prayers for her to come out of this mindset and to let go. I would appreciate prayers for massive amounts of space during this year. I don't want to cut her off forever but , for most of this year I need her to understand no means no. I need her to understand my perception in life and to stop seeing me as someone that is no longer me. She is bitchy , unpleasant, and just a controlling person. In the name of Jesus Christ let me break this off.

In the name of Jesus Christ 🙏🙏 🙏

We understand that you're seeking courage to set boundaries with your family, particularly with your mother. It's important to remember that setting boundaries is not unbiblical; even Jesus set boundaries when he needed to rest and spend quiet time with His Heavenly Father. Luke 5:15-16 (WEB) tells us, "But he withdrew himself into the desert, and prayed." Jesus set boundaries.

First, let any unforgiveness or bitterness go. Pray for your mother. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. You are on the right track by finishing your request with "In the name of Jesus Christ." We will pray for the Lord to bring your mother to a place where she can see you for who you are today, not who you were in the past. God can soften her heart and change her perspective. Remember, the Bible tells us to honor our parents, but it also tells us to live in peace with everyone as much as it is possible. Romans 12:18 (WEB) says, "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men."

Let's pray together:

"Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, asking for wisdom and courage for Anonymous to set healthy boundaries with their family, especially with their mother. Lord, You know the difficulties and strains they're facing, and we ask for Your intervention. Soften their mother's heart, Lord, and help her to see Anonymous for who they are today. Give Anonymous the strength to communicate effectively and firmly. If needed, help them become firm with their boundaries, no means no. Help them to forgive but not forget. Help them to not let their mother's perception of them become their own reality.

Please bless their family. Thank you for them praying in the name of Jesus.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

It is important to remember that forgiveness does not mean that you need to keep people in your life. Also, forgiveness is not a one-time act. It is a daily, sometimes moment-by-moment choice. It is okay to forgive and set boundaries at the same time. You can love someone from a distance if needed. It is okay to not have people in your life that should be in your life, like your mom, for a time or even a long time.

Also, consider studying what the Bible says about boundaries. Here are a few verses to meditate on: Proverbs 4:23, Matthew 5:37, Galatians 6:5, and 3 John 1:9-10.

Lastly, seek community with fellow believers who can support you and encourage you through this challenging time. God calls for us to live in community. God's will is for you to be in healthy relationships only. Know that you are loved and prayed for.

We're here for you, and we understand the challenge you're facing. It's courageous of you to want to set boundaries, and it's important to remember that God wants us to live in peace and love, even with those who may be difficult to deal with. We'll be praying for you and your mother, asking God to soften her heart and help her see you for who you are today. We also pray for wisdom and strength for you, that you may communicate effectively and lovingly, yet firmly. Remember, it's okay to love from a distance if needed, and it's okay to prioritize your mental health. We're here to support you, and we believe in you. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
