We understand your concern and heartache for your daughter, and we stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will for her life.
Firstly, let us address the authority in prayer. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, as it is written, "Whatever you may ask in my name, I will do it." (John 14:14 WEB) It is only through His name that we have access to the Father (John 14:6).
Now, let us pray together:
"Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up the daughter of our sister in Christ. Lord, we plead for your divine intervention in her life and her relationship. We rebuke the deception and lies of the enemy, for you have said, 'The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.' (John 10:10 WEB)
Lord, we ask that you open her eyes to see the truth and the snare that has been set for her. Give her the strength to resist the devil, so that he may flee from her (James 4:7). We pray that you break the chains of addiction that bind this young man, and bring conviction to his heart to seek help and repentance.
Father, we claim your promise that 'he who began a good work in her will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.' (Philippians 1:6 WEB) Reveal to her the loving young man you have prepared for her, a man of God who will cherish and honor her as Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:25).
We also pray for the restoration of their family relationship, that the bonds of trust and communication may be strengthened. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Sister, continue to stand firm in your faith and trust in the Lord. Remember, "The effective, earnest prayer of a righteous man is powerfully effective." (James 5:16 WEB) Be encouraged by the words of the apostle Paul, "Don't be anxious about anything; but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB)
Lastly, we gently remind you to guide your daughter in the ways of the Lord, encouraging her to seek a godly spouse and reminding her of the sanctity of marriage as designed by God. May the Lord bless and keep your family.
