We are grateful for your prayer request Calfa, and we commit to praying with you and we will do so with the guidance of the Holy Spirit and in the name of Jesus, for the requests you have mentioned. Thus we join together and pray.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Calfa and her brother Steve. We pray for their deliverance and protection from the spirit of anxiety and stress, as you have told us in 1 Peter 5:7 to cast all our anxieties on you, because you care for us. We stand on this promise and ask for Your peace to guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, consistent with Your direction in Phillipians 4:7. We further ask for peace and favor for Steve in his workplace and for traveling mercies.
Father, we bring Calfa's physical ailments and issues to You. Though doctors and medicine are not or ever a substitute for our faith in Jesus. Because Your word is clear. We are told:
Trust in Yahweh with all your heart,
and don’t lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight.
Don’t be wise in your own eyes.
Fear Yahweh, and depart from evil.
It will be health to your body,
and nourishment to your bones.
- Proverbs 3:5-8 WEB
We ask for your healing of her G.I. Tract. You tell us to 'pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they will prosper who love you. Peace be within your walls, and prosperity within your palaces. For my brothers’ and companions’ sakes, I will now say, 'Peace be within you.' For the sake of the house of Yahweh our God, I will seek your good.' - Psalm 122:6-9 WEB
We further ask and trust you for divine guidance for her choice of a doctor and lawyer, and ask that these doctors do no further physical harm to your child and that you, the Lord our maker will see to her healing, and that with the doctor the legal issues may be resolved in a timely manner that fulfills your will and that your child should have good health and a healthy body in please Jesus. We also pray for crystal and Rachel whom have cancer.
We also want to address, discuss, and pray about some things you mentioned in your request which are very important. Not going to a doctor is absolutely not a substitute for believing in Jesus Christ as our Savior and healer. Physical healing just like salvation is only accomplished by believing and calling on the name of Jesus Christ. The Bible in Acts 4:12 says, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, and through that name we must be saved.
You never mentioned believing in and calling on the name of Jesus Christ. Doing so is the only way to be saved, and is also the only way to be healed.
Let's discuss and look =t what the Bible tells us in Acts 3:
Now Peter and John were going up into the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour. 2 A certain man who was lame from his mother’s womb was being carried, whom they laid daily at the door of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask gifts for the needy of those who entered into the temple. 3 Seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, he asked to receive gifts for the needy. 4 Peter, fastening his eyes on him, with John, said, 'Look at us.' 5 He listened to them, expecting to receive something from them. 6 But Peter said, 'Silver and gold have I none, but what I have, that I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk!' 7 He took him by the right hand, and raised him up. Immediately his feet and his ankle bones received strength. 8 Leaping up, he stood, and began to walk. He entered with them into the temple, walking, leaping, and praising God. 9 All the people saw him walking and praising God. 10 They recognized him, that it was he who used to sit begging for gifts for the needy at the Beautiful Gate of the temple. They were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him. 11 As the lame man who was healed held on to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the porch that is called Solomon’s, greatly wondering." - Acts 3:1-11 WEB
Notice that the beggar was not healed in the name of a lawyer, a doctor, a hospital, or anyone that did not call upon the name of Jesus. With examining this, praying 'in Jesus name' is not a magic phrase! It is about calling on God in belief of salvation through Jesus Christ.
With these things said, praying,'in Jesus name' is not a magic phrase! It is about calling on God in belief of salvation through Jesus Christ, the name of a lawyer, a doctor, a hospital, or anyone that did not call upon the name of Jesus.
You also asked for a vision of the doctor that may help cure your physical ailments, which is the same thing as prophecy. So we have to make you aware that these gifts of the Spirit are very desirable, nevertheless the Bible also tells us about about counterfeit spiritual experiences in 2 Corinthians 14:14. Let's look:
"But I fear that somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve in his craftiness, so your minds might be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ." - 2 Corinthians 11:3 WEB
Thus let's examine the two New Testament passages that become most importantly appropriate for direction in prayer and prophecy in 2 Corinthians 14 WEB:
"Pursue love, and earnestly desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy. 2 For he who speaks in another language speaks not to men, but to God; for no one understands; but in the Spirit he speaks mysteries. 3 But he who prophesies speaks to men for their edification, exhortation, and consolation. 4 He who speaks in another language edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the assembly. 5 Now I desire to have you all speak with other languages, but rather that you would prophesy. For he is greater who prophesies than he who speaks with other languages, unless he interprets, that the assembly may be built up.
6 But now, brothers, if I come to you speaking with other languages, what would I profit you, unless I speak to you either by way of revelation, or of knowledge, or of prophesying, or of teaching? 7 Even things without life, giving a voice, whether pipe or harp, if they didn’t give a distinction in the sounds, how would it be known what is piped or harped? 8 For if the trumpet gave an uncertain sound, who would prepare himself for war? 9 So also you, unless you utter by the tongue words easy to understand, how would it be known what is spoken? For you would be speaking into the air. 10 There are, it may be, so many kinds of sounds in the world, and none of them is without meaning. 11 If then I don’t know the meaning of the sound, I would be to him who speaks a foreigner, and he who speaks would be a foreigner to me. 12 So also you, since you are zealous for spiritual gifts, seek that you may abound to the building up of the assembly. 13 Therefore let him who speaks in another language pray that he may interpret. 14 For if I pray in another language, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful. 15 What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also. I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also. 16 Otherwise if you bless with the spirit, how will he who fills the place of the unlearned say the 'Amen' at your giving of thanks, seeing he doesn’t know what you say? 17 For you most certainly give thanks well, but the other person is not built up. 18 I thank my God, I speak with other languages more than you all. 19 However in the assembly I would rather speak five words with my understanding, that I might instruct others also, than ten thousand words in another language.
20 Brothers, don’t be children in thoughts, yet in malice be babies, but in thoughts be mature. 21 In the law it is written, 'By men of strange languages and by the lips of strangers I will speak to this people. Not even thus will they hear me,' says the Lord. 22 Therefore other languages are for a sign, not to those who believe, but to the unbelieving; but prophesying is for a sign, not to the unbelieving, but to those who believe. 23 If therefore the whole assembly is assembled together and all speak with other languages, and unlearned or unbelieving people come in, won’t they say that you are crazy? 24 But if all prophesy, and someone unbelieving or unlearned comes in, he is reproved by all, and he is judged by all. 25 And thus the secrets of his heart are revealed. So he will fall down on his face and worship God, declaring that God is among you indeed.
26 What is it then, brothers? When you come together, each one of you has a psalm, has a teaching, has a revelation, has another language, has an interpretation. Let all things be done to build each other up. 27 If any man speaks in another language, let it be two, or at the most three, and in turn; and let one interpret. 28 But if there is no interpreter, let him keep silent in the assembly, and let him speak to himself, and to God. 29 Let the prophets speak, two or three, and let the others discern. 30 But if a revelation is made to another sitting by, let the first keep silent. 31 For you all can prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be exhorted. 32 The spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets, 33 for God is not a God of confusion, but of peace.
As in all the assemblies of the saints, 34 let your wives keep silent in the assemblies, for it has not been permitted for them to speak; but let them be in subjection, as the law also says. 35 If they desire to learn anything, let them ask their own husbands at home, for it is shameful for a woman to chatter in the assembly." - 1 Corinthians 14:1 - 1 Corinthians 14:35 WEB
We pray that the Lord will be with Crystal and Rachel and show us your will through the Holy Spirit.
This post should be carefully reviewed for possible corrections and refined to add further comments on prayer.
We ask, we pray, and we supplicate these things in Jesus name, Amen
