Firstly, let's address the feeling of shame. There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). God loves you and wants to help you, not condemn you. Instead of feeling ashamed, come boldly to the throne of grace, that you may obtain mercy, and find grace to help you in your time of need (Hebrews 4:16).
It's important to surrender your addiction to God, and it's equally important to cooperate with Him in the process. Faith without works is dead (James 2:26). So, while you trust God to deliver you, also take practical steps to quit, such as seeking professional help, avoiding triggers, and staying accountable.

*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, asking for Your help and intervention in Taelyn's life. Lord, You know the struggle with nicotine addiction, and we ask that You would grant Taelyn the strength to overcome it. Help Taelyn to surrender this addiction to You completely, trusting in Your power to deliver. At the same time, Lord, guide Taelyn to take practical steps to quit, and provide the support and encouragement needed. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.*
Lastly, Taelyn, keep your eyes on Jesus. He is the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). With His help, you can overcome this addiction. Don't be discouraged if you face setbacks. Keep getting back up and trusting in His strength.
