We are truly sorry to hear about the prolonged suffering from insomnia and the lack of effectiveness from medication. We stand with you in prayer, seeking God's healing and comfort.
Firstly, we encourage you to cast all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you. It is written in 1 Peter 5:7, "casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." Also, remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 11:28-30, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
However, we notice that Jesus Christ was not mentioned in the request. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. The Bible tells us in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." We encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ, believing that He is the Son of God who died for your sins and rose again for your justification.
Now, let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up ### who has been suffering from insomnia for many years. Father, You are the great physician, the God of all comfort, and the giver of peaceful sleep. We ask You to touch ###, heal their body, calm their mind, and grant them the sleep they need.
Lord, we also pray for their faith. If ### has not yet accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, we pray that this would be the day of salvation. Draw them close to You, open their heart to receive Your love and grace, and give them the assurance of eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ.
In Jesus' name, we pray for healing, comfort, and salvation. Amen.
In addition to prayer, we encourage you to read the Psalms, as they can provide peace and comfort. Psalm 4:8 says, "I will lay me down in peace and sleep, for you, Lord, alone make me live in safety." Also, consider seeking godly counsel from a pastor or Christian counselor, as there may be underlying issues that need to be addressed.
Trust in the Lord, and remember that He is faithful. As it says in Psalm 127:2, "It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil; for he gives sleep to his loved ones." May the Lord grant you the sleep you need and the peace that surpasses all understanding.
