"I AM SO TIRED and WEARY!"
Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, The Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:28-31
How often are these the exact words that you feel when you walk into your apartment or house in the evening? Do you have children running around full of energy, but you just want to sit down or maybe crawl into bed and hide? I totally understand as I have lived those days. Today, do not let the enemy defeat you by attacking your emotions and feelings! You can trust God for every hour of every day. Tomorrow will be a new day of God’s amazing love, mercy and grace.
Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, “The LORD is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.†The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD. Lamentations 3:22-26
Are you getting tired of all your circumstances? Are you weary of all that you are having to do by yourself? One of the secrets is to take one day at a time. Wake up in the morning and talk to the Lord before you even get out of bed. Tell Him your concerns for the day and then start your day. Dads, I know you may have your children equal time and you are doing everything also. God is so proud of you for making a difference in your children’s lives.
How do you react to your emotions and feelings? Call out to the Lord, asking for His divine intervention of increased energy and strength. Never forget your Lord is faithful to His children. God created male, then female, to be fruitful and for two parents to raise their children together. Yes, you both need your spouse as God made you one flesh at the altar. Will you be different? Will you hate divorce like God and pray? Your husband or wife has been deceived, tempted by the enemy, Satan, who wants to destroy your marriage and family.
Were you the one who made some very bad choices thinking that flirting with sin would not cause a fire that could be deadly, ending in a divorce? But God says, “I forgive you. I want you to pray, stand and fight for your marriage. I will make your marriage stronger after this.â€
Let God be your Helper, Counselor and Friend for this difficult time in your life. Allow Him to work on your spouse's heart. The Lord touches, changes and transforms hearts every day. You must believe, pray and wait for the Lord to move your mountain of circumstances.
So why do you want to give up and “get on with your life?†What is going to change? You need to learn who you are in Christ. That is vital as a believer. It will change your life. Don't give up on the Lord God of the universe, in spite of what your family and friends say. Do not become deceived by listening to others how they would handle your marriage problems. Seek the Lord!
You can walk in victory and success while you are standing for the restoration of your marriage. You will be a lighthouse proclaiming that you made a vow, a covenant with your Lord God, and you are going to be faithful to your spouse forever. You will be able to share with another hurting spouse and their marriage may even be restored before yours! That happened to me when I was standing. Praise the Lord. I saw God’s plan in healing hurting and dead marriages.
Lord, reveal Your truth to this special child of Yours of what is best for them and for their precious children. May this dear stander come to know Your mighty power for You to touch and heal their marriage if they will only wait on Your perfect timing. We can see from the beginning of Genesis and throughout the Bible that God does not worry about time. Lord, direct this stander's steps and increase their strength and ability to be able to be successful as they work and may they have time to accomplish all they need to do to be a loving, understanding parent as their children are hurting also. Lord, speak to their spouse’s heart, remove the scales from their eyes to see and open their ears to hear Your voice of the messengers that You are putting into their pathway. May ______’s heart be softened quickly and suddenly, in Jesus Name. Amen.
The Lord can straighten out any crooked path. Believe in God's grace and mercy for you and your marriage. Today read Psalm 25 as a prayer for you and your spouse.
Show me your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long. Remember, O LORD, your great mercy and love, for they are from of old. Remember not the sins of my youth and my rebellious ways; according to your love remember me, for you are good, O LORD. Psalm 25:4-7
Why do people stop standing and praying for their spouse? They want their pain to stop and to move on with their life, seeking happiness. Fear disobedience. Allow your Lord to give you His happiness, peace and joy while you stand. Ask the Lord to give you His strength and hope to get you through the difficult days in your life. He can do it!
Have you become weak in standing for God's best in your life? I know you do not want to fight the enemy. No one wants to go through the difficult days, but if each of us could see our Lord on the other side of the obstacle, cheering us on, we could do it! I believe that is what the Holy Spirit is saying to you right now. We all go through different trials and tribulations, but the Lord is saying, “Keep the faith, keep moving, keep your eyes on Me, go forward, you will reach your promised land if you do not quit or turn back! You will have a restored marriage. Your children's wounded hearts will be healed. Your spouse will be delivered from anger, bitterness, unforgiveness, abuse, sexual addictions, alcohol or drugs.â€
It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he enables me to stand on the heights. He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bronze. You give me your shield of victory, and your right hand sustains me; you stoop down to make me great. You broaden the path beneath me, so that my ankles do not turn. Psalm 18:32-36
You must put your hope in your Lord. He will renew your strength. You will not only be like a deer, moving and jumping across the field with all four feet, but you will soar on wings like an eagle. Your Lord is your source of help and strength.
Your Lord promises to revive you in the midst of fatigue, exhaustion and weakness. He will give you the ability to rise above your problems and to run spiritually without becoming tired, walking in steady footsteps of faith, hope and trust in your awesome mighty God.
“‘You are my servant,’ I have chosen you and have not rejected you. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.†Isaiah 41:9-10
