Concerning the loss of your mother, we understand that the pain can still be raw, even after many years. Psalm 147:3 (WEB) tells us that God "heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." We pray that God will comfort you and bind up the wounds of your loss.
You questioned why God keeps you here. Know this: God has a purpose and a plan for your life. He knows the number of hairs on your head (Luke 12:7 WEB), and you are precious to Him. You are not useless or unimportant. Jeremiah 29:11 (WEB) says, "‘For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,’ says Yahweh, ‘thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.'"
