Disciple of Prayer
I am posting a letter, I wrote to my psychiatrist. I no longer have the panic attacks and I am not smoking cannabis anymore. Here is the letter to my psychiatrist. Please pray that I get admitted to the hospital and that the medication works. Thank you and God bless you for praying. "I am attaching a list of side effects I am getting from the clozapine. They seem to be getting significantly worse. The increase of perphenazine has taken away some of the delusions, i.e. thinking I was the Virgin Mary or that my ex husband was Satan. They seemed very real to me, the delusions and it is only since you increased the perphenazine, that I am not dealing as much. I rely on clozapine to put me to sleep at night, but a higher dose of perphenazine might have the same effect. It is obvious to me that I need a hospital visit to adjust my meds and to get off clozapine. I am thinking 24 mgs of perphenazine at bedtime and my daily dose adjusted as required. The only side effect I get from perphenazine, is drowsiness, which has abated since I last told you it was a problem. When I was younger, perphenazine brought me out of major schizophrenia, but I was an alcoholic back then and the alcohol combined with perphenazine made it impossible for me to function, but it was a medication that in larger doses, always held the psychosis at bay. My sons are coming to visit on May 20th. I am going to see if I can hold on until then and go to the hospital on May 21st. I was thinking the Montfort Hospital, because it is closest to here. Lack of sleep is a problem I have when off the clozapine. I go manic and then totally paranoid delusional, as you have known. Please let me know if this plan of action is what I should do. I can't survive in the state I am in, fainting, feeling faint, feeling close to death. It really was bad, the last fall I had at Jamie's." Again, thank you for your prayers. Clozapine has bad side effects for me. It affects my heart and makes me feel like I am dying. I am a sister in Christ, a woman.
