I am married to a good, successful, handsome man. He's a Christian, and he's a great dad. He isn't perfect, but he's good. I have something wrong with me. I am contemplating cheating. I am bored with our marriage, and I feel compelled to be unfaithful. I need the approval of other men. Please pray for my marriage and for me. I want to be a good wife.
No you don't want to cheat, that is a lie of the devil. If you are living by your 'feelings', you have not discovered the freedom that is in Christ Jesus. Go back and read what you wrote, then sit down and ask God to show you the repercussions of an affair. I contemplated it once, but God showed me, sin is like a pebble. Drop it in water and watch how big the results go. The rippling effect is actually a ripping effect, tearing apart lives and hopes and dreams.
And after the act, what have you got left? nothing
What is missing in your life is that relationship with God. You may be born again, but you have not discovered the incredible, freeing life of being ONE with Christ by His Spirit.
Father, in Jesus name, I bind this desire of this wife to your will. I bind her mind to the mind of Christ and to the truth of your word that reveals your great love for her. I ask for a greater measure of mercy and a greater understanding of what love means, that will cast her before your throne in awe and wonder. Create in her a passion for you, like You have for her, so that her steps will stay on paths of righteousness.
In the name of Jesus, I loose, crush, smash and destroy wrong thinking, wrong beliefs, wrong behaviors, wrong ideas, wrong attitudes and their strongholds behind them, Every hard and harsh word that has ever been spoken to this person by anyone at any point in her life, and even by herself, I cancel their assignment against her and I bless her with grace, peace, and an ever increasing appreciation for life and for her family.
