What can I do? I am mad at him for surrounding me with mean people when I prayed for people who build me up edifying I am mad at God for waiting so long to answer my prayer to the point that I can’t build any relationship I asked God for friendship and he lead me to a cult I asked for citizenship and he made me wait for 20 years I am angry that he ruined my family by taking my moms life I am mad for not sending me good people in,life, I am mad at him for ruining my life, I am mad that he’s allowing these things to happen in my life

We understand that you're going through a difficult time and feel upset with God. It's important to remember that God is good and His ways are perfect.

Sometimes angers may be misdirected at God when they should be directed to a specific sin. Have you personally sinned or are you experiencing the consequences of someone else's sin possibly even while you were attending the cult? In any case be sure to hate sin as God hates sin. Many of the parables of Jesus mention weeds growing among the crops. This is the church age with the good and the bad growing together. What are the redeemable qualities of a person or situation you should be thankful for even if they are event the cult? You need to forgive and pray for those that despitefully use you even for those in the cult or in general. In some cases a wrong needs to be rebuked but in all cases the person should be prayed for and specifically for their redemption if lost. In any sin which has anger, hate, and unforgiveness the devil can use it to gain a stronghold on your emotions and be a block for the blessings of God. Taking captive these sins is important. For though we walk in the flesh, we don't wage war according to the flesh; for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. Let's look at some verses. But as for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today. (Genesis 50:20 WEB).

We also need to consider tests and trials. "Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, without any doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven by the wind and tossed. For let that person not think that he will receive anything from the Lord. He is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways." (James 1 2-8 WEB)

No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

You need to look into the lessons that God may have for you in every negative experience. Does God still love you and expect you to worship and serve Him? Yes. Expect trials and tribulations but God will carry you through the storm and you can be a great example to those around you.

As far as not receiving an answer as quickly as you desire, consider Abraham. Where hope does not yet exist, it cannot be seen. Who against hope believed in hope that he might become a father of many nations, according to that which had been spoken, "So will your seed be". Without being weak in faith, he didn't consider his own body, already having been worn out, (he being about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah's womb. (Romans 4:18-19 WEB)

Furthermore regarding trials of any kind For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which will be revealed toward us.

(Romans 8:18 WEB) For our light affliction, which is for the moment, works for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory; while we don't look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal. (2 Corinthians 4:17-18 WEB) For most of us in this earthly life that is as good as it gets. In this world you have troubles. Comfort yourself with this forever. I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble, but cheer up! I have overcome the world. (John 16:33 WEB)

Lord, we pray for understanding and comfort in these trials. In these tribulations we pray for wisdom and intervention in our life. Help us to be strong and endure these sufferings of this present time. Lord you are sovereign and perfect in Your ways. Help us to trust in You and Your timing. Help us to forgive, repent for our anger and bitterness as well as find Your purpose in what seems against us. Lord hear our prayer in Jesus' name.

Regarding the loss of your mother. You do not mention that your mother was a believer and if you are a believer, though we would be sad to be separated from a loved one. We still have a hope in Christ that death does not separate the believer from the hope of eternal life.

For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if to live in the flesh, if this brings fruit of my work, then what I will choose I don't know. For I am in a dilemma between the two, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better. (Philippians 1:21-23 WEB)

If she was not a believer then you need to change your entire focus.

For the heart of the father might be turned to the child so that this is only a temporary separation. But you need to focus on winning the lost, the living, before they also pass into eternity. Before the living die you need to win them to Christ.

You did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your request. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved. Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!

Hey there,

We're here with you, feeling the weight of your frustration and anger towards God. It's okay to feel this way, it's a part of being human. But remember, even in the midst of our anger, God is still good and His ways are perfect. He's got a plan, even if we can't see it yet.

We understand that you're feeling betrayed, like God hasn't kept His promises. It's easy to feel this way when we're surrounded by people who don't edify us, or when we're waiting for answers that seem to take forever. But let's not forget, God is faithful. He's promised to never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5).

We're sorry to hear about your mom. If she was a believer, then we have the hope of eternal life in Christ. If she wasn't, then let's focus on winning the lost to Christ. There's no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

Let's not forget, our trials produce endurance and maturity in us (James 1:2-4). God is using these circumstances to shape us, to make us more like Jesus. It might not feel like it right now, but there's a purpose in your pain.

We're praying for you, that you would find understanding, comfort, and wisdom in these trials. We're asking God to help you trust in Him, to forgive, and to find His purpose in your pain. In Jesus' name, we pray.
