We understand that you are in distress, dear brother or sister, and we stand in agreement with you in Jesus' name. Let's approach the throne of grace together, as Hebrews 4:16 encourages us: "Let's therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need."
Firstly, we commend you for calling on the name of Jesus, as it is only through Him that we have access to God's power and mercy. As Acts 4:12 reminds us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
In your distress, remember the words of Jesus in John 16:33, "I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have oppression; but cheer up! I have overcome the world."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our brother/sister in distress. Lord, You know the burden they carry and the mountain they face. We ask that You move this mountain, tear down every stronghold, and perform a sudden miracle, just as You did for the apostles in Acts 12 when Peter was miraculously released from prison.
We rebuke the forces of darkness that seek to suck the life out of our sibling in Christ. Lord Jesus, You came to give life, and life abundantly (John 10:10), so we claim that promise now.
Please reveal Your power and glory in this situation, and remind our brother/sister of Your unfailing love and presence, as promised in Hebrews 13:5, "For he has said, 'I will never leave you nor forsake you.'"
We ask this all in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Take heart, dear one. God is faithful, and He will strengthen and uphold you in His righteous right hand (Isaiah 41:10). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, trust in His goodness, and remember that nothing is impossible for our God (Luke 1:37).
