We join you, Wilann, in humbling ourselves before the Lord, acknowledging His presence and His power. It is wonderful that you acknowledge the power and guidance of the Holy Spirit. Let us go to the Lord in prayer. We are glad you acknowledge the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and we will show later that it is essential to Salvation.
Let's pray:
Lord please prepare my heart and spirit for war with the enemy using wisdom and of course being led by your powerful and friend Holy Spirit. We echo this prayer, asking that the Lord would ready for the spiritual battle and provide you the power to overcome any attacks from the enemy. His word in the Book of James states that "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded." We are guided by this word and by the Holy Spirit that the enemy will flee from us in Jesus’ name. Jesus has won the victory.
Remember the word in Ephesians, "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand. " Therefore, we put on the protection provided.
You desire to be a good student pleasing to the Lord. This is a wonderful desire. Let's read that from the Book of Colossians, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ. "
You have the Hope that is in you when others ask, as in the Book of Peter, “Sanctify in your hearts—being ready always to give an account to everyone who asks you a reason concerning the hope that is in you, with humility and fear: having a good conscience; that, while you are spoken against as evildoers, they may be disappointed who curse your good manner of life in Christ.
You pray to be a prophetic standard in your life to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ. Yes, Jesus said to go into all the world and preach the Gospel. Your desire is wonderful. As written in the Book of The Acts of the Apostles, “Therefore repent of your sins and turn to God, for his Kingdom will soon come.” Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. We are glad you truly believe that Jesus died and rose on the third day, as the scriptures say. This is paramount to our belief and our Faith. It is wonderful to see your desire to proclaim the good news. But your prayer seems to be missing some things.
Let's mention to answering prayer requests yet to be answered. You have not asked in Jesus’ Name. The request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access and approach God the Father. The Scripture says, No one goes to the Father except by Jesus. In Jesus name all the angels and heavenly hosts will be ready to your prayers. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. Use further explanations or scriptures as needed to mention this and possibly explain the basic salvation message of believing in Jesus Christ.
Say this prayer with us, Wilann:
” Lord Jesus, I confess that without you I am nothing and have nothing. You are the way the Truth and the Life. I come to you today because you love me, died for me, and were buried and resurrected from the dead for my sins. I do believe you entered bodily into Heaven and are seated at the right hand of Father God in bodily form today. Please come into my heart and save me. I accept you as my Lord and Savior and will faithfully do whatever the Father, Son and Holy Spirit tells me to do even if no one else believes. I will serve you forever and love and worship you with all my heart, mind, soul and strength. Thank you Jesus. Thank you for hearing my prayer.
In Jesus Name I pray”. Say “In Jesus Name” after each and every prayer.
Also pray this hope of your calling:
“Lord Jesus Christ, be with Wilann today. Prepare him for the spiritual battles that will rage in our world. Fill and empower him him with Your Holy Spirit. Lead and guide with your Holy Spirit, allowing him to give a good account of your Hope. We are so grateful to be able to come to you and ask these things of you in Jesus name”
Lest we forget this final scripture from the Book of Romans. For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved. How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in him whom they have not heard? How will they hear without a preacher? And how will they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the Good News of peace and bring glad tidings of good things! So then, faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Therefore, Wilann, we encourage you to find a place to share the Good News of Jesus and the Power of the Holy Spirit you have to others!
Keep studying your Bible and pushing towards Christ being a true Disciple.
