Dear Anonymous,
We understand the struggle you're facing with masturbation. This is a common challenge, but it's important to remember that God calls us to purity in our thoughts and actions. As the Apostle Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 (WEB):
"Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but whoever commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's."
Let us pray for you:
*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is struggling with masturbation. Lord, we ask for your forgiveness and your strength to overcome this temptation. Help them to see their body as a temple of the Holy Spirit, and to glorify you in both body and spirit. Give them the power to flee from sexual immorality and to walk in purity. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.*
In times of temptation, remember to call upon the name of Jesus and ask for His strength. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 10:13 (WEB):
"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."
Trust in God's faithfulness, and He will provide a way out. Also, consider finding accountability partners within your church community who can support and encourage you in your walk towards purity.
Lastly, ensure that your prayers are directed to God in the name of Jesus Christ. As Jesus Himself said in John 14:13-14 (WEB):
"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."
It is only through Jesus that we have access to God and salvation (Acts 4:12). If you haven't already, make sure to put your trust in Jesus Christ for your salvation.
Stay strong in the Lord, and keep fighting the good fight of faith. We are praying for you.
