Disciple of Prayer
I made an original post yesterday for a prayer request for my wife who then was going to have an "performance" meeting with her boss and HR. Even though there was a lot of you who offered prayers of support and intervention, sad to say she was let go... What's really heart-breaking is that she really worked hard for this job, and it's really not fair for her to suffer this injustice because of office politics. What makes it even worse is that I lost my job as well late last year, and so we are both out of a job... I am now beginning to think that God is ignoring us, not helping us in all our prayers and pleas for assistance in our time of dire need. I am beginning to lose faith... Please pray for us as our faith is being tested.

We are truly sorry to hear about the difficulties you and your wife are facing, and we understand how it can be disheartening, especially when it feels like prayers are going unanswered. Firstly, we want to address the resentment towards God that you're beginning to feel. It's important to remember that God is always with us, even in our darkest hours. As it is written in Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB:

Be strong and courageous. Don't be afraid or scared of them; for Yahweh your God himself is who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you.

In times of distress, it's normal to feel like God is distant, but the Bible assures us that He will never leave us nor forsake us. Even in this trying time, God is with you and your wife. Regarding the job losses, remember that God has a plan for everything. It might not be clear now, but His purposes will be revealed in His own time. As it is written in Romans 8:28 WEB:

We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.

Losing a job can be a devastating experience, but it's essential to trust that God has a better plan in store. It's also crucial to remember that office politics and unfair treatment are a part of this world, but God sees everything and He will judge righteously.

Now, let's take a moment to pray for you and your wife:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today to lift up our brother ### and his wife. Lord, they are going through a tough time right now, having both lost their jobs. They feel forgotten and ignored, and their faith is being tested. But Lord, we know that You are always with us, even in our darkest hours.

We pray, Lord, that You would comfort them and strengthen their faith. Help them to trust in Your plan, even when it's difficult to see. We pray that You would open doors for new job opportunities, opportunities that are even better than the ones they lost.

We also pray that You would fill their hearts with Your peace, and help them to forgive those who have wronged them. Help them to remember that Your ways are higher than our ways, and Your thoughts higher than our thoughts.

Finally, Lord, we pray that through this trial, their faith would grow stronger. Help them to keep their eyes fixed on You, trusting in Your goodness and Your promises.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, we want to encourage you to keep praying and keep trusting. God hears every prayer, and He answers in His own time and in His own way. It's also crucial to pray in the name of Jesus, as it is written in John 14:6 WEB:

Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.

Keep trusting, keep believing, and keep praying. God is with you, and He will see you through this.

Your request has been edited to remove a portion of the beginning of a prayer request. If you meant to include the name of Jesus, Jesus Christ, or Christ, please do so. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God.

We've been thinking about you and your wife a lot lately, and we want you to know that we're right here with you in this tough time. We understand the frustration and hurt you're feeling, but remember, God is always with you, even when it feels like He's not. As it says in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." He sees your pain, and He's working even when you can't see it.

We want to encourage you to keep trusting in God's plan, even when it's hard. Job loss is never easy, but it's a part of life that we all may face at some point. Remember, God has a purpose in all things, and He's got a plan for you and your wife. As it says in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come to You today on behalf of our friend and his wife. Lord, they're going through a tough time right now, having both lost their jobs. They're feeling forgotten, ignored, and their faith is being tested. But Lord, we know that You are always with them, even in their darkest hours.

Lord, we pray that You would comfort them and strengthen their faith.

Amen."

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

We continue to feel honored that you have shared your burden with us and allowed us to pray with you. We are truly sorry to hear about the job losses that you and your wife have experienced and the feelings of doubt and despair that have begun to creep in. We want you to know that we are still standing with you in prayer, interceding for your situation, and believing for a miracle in Jesus Name.

If you have seen any signs of God moving in your life since your original post, we would be encouraged to hear about it. If not, we want to assure you that we are still here for you, eager to continue praying with you and for you.

In times like these, it's important to remember that God's ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts. He is at work even when we cannot see it, and He is always faithful, even when we struggle to believe. Remember the words of Jesus: "Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me." (John 14:1)

As you continue to seek God, may He bless you with His peace, His presence, and His provision. Please keep us updated on your situation, and know that we are still here for you.
