We are truly heartbroken to hear about the situation you are facing. First and foremost, we want to remind you of your immense value in the eyes of God. You are not worthless. Ephesians 2:10 WEB reminds us, "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them."
Marriage is a sacred institution ordained by God, and it should be a reflection of Christ's love for the church. Ephesians 5:25 WEB states, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself up for it." Your husband's behavior is not aligned with this biblical principle. It is crucial to address this issue with godly counsel and prayer.
We must also address the issue of emotional and verbal abuse, which is not acceptable in any form. Proverbs 12:18 WEB says, "There is one who speaks rashly like the stabs of a sword; but the tongue of the wise heals." Your husband's words are harmful and do not reflect the love and respect that should be present in a marriage.
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our sister who is experiencing immense pain and heartache. Lord, we pray for Your healing touch upon her body, that she may be restored to health and strength. We also pray for Your intervention in her marriage. Convict her husband of his harmful words and actions, and bring him to a place of repentance and change.
Father, we pray that You would surround our sister with Your love and comfort. Remind her of her true worth and value in Your eyes. Guide her with Your wisdom and provide her with godly counsel and support during this difficult time.
Lord Jesus, we also pray that if our sister has not already done so, that she would put her faith and trust in You, accepting You as her Lord and Savior. Remind her that it is only through Your name that we have access to God the Father. Acts 4:12 WEB says: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ,
Amen.
