I am a recovering alcoholic (for ### years) who has relapsed into drinking again. Please pray that God would allow me to stop. It's hurting my body as well as my spirit. Thank you.

Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, interceding on behalf of our dear anonymous friend who is struggling with alcohol addiction. We thank you for the ### years of sobriety that you have granted them, and we acknowledge that it is only by your grace and power that they were able to overcome this battle in the past.
Lord, we lift up our friend to you, knowing that you are a God of deliverance and healing. We ask that you would pour out your Holy Spirit upon them, filling them with strength, courage, and a renewed desire to break free from the chains of addiction. Help them to recognize the destructive nature of alcohol and to turn away from it completely.
In your Word, you have promised that you are able to save us to the uttermost, and we claim that promise for our friend. We pray that you would remove the desire for alcohol from their heart and mind, replacing it with a deep longing for your presence and a passion for a life of sobriety.
Father, we also ask for physical healing for our friend. We pray that you would restore their body, repairing any damage that has been caused by alcohol. Strengthen their immune system, cleanse their organs, and bring about complete restoration and wholeness.
We know that your will is for us to live in freedom and victory, and we trust in your faithfulness to bring about this transformation in our friend's life. We ask that you would surround them with a supportive community of believers who will encourage and uplift them in their journey towards sobriety.
Lord, we pray that you would grant our friend the wisdom and discernment to seek professional help if needed, and to utilize the resources available to them for support and accountability.
We declare in faith that our friend is more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus who strengthens them. We believe that you are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.
In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect.
