I am 77 years old. I lost everything in a major business collapse. I had to move to a Mission together with my wife, son and mentally disadvantaged brother-in-law. I have been here for 6 years. During this time my brother-in-law ( 66 years old) died of cancer - my wife has had a double mastectomy - I have osteo arthritis and can only walk very slowly with the aid of a walker. My wife, son and I live off a government pension of R3,000 per month from which we pay rent, food etc.
My wife and I have been reborn Christians since the late 70's. and In spite of all our trials and tribulations we have not stopped believing. I have been blessed with a talent for innovation and invention and currently have two patents which I want to file when I have the money. My wife (79 years old) is fairly fit but fatigues easily, but still does the washing and cooking.
Our prayer has been that we can be enabled by God's will to leave this pl;ace and establish ourselves where both my son and I can earn a living.
We have been patient, as God admonishes us, and we feel that the time is surely now when we can make progress.
