We are truly sorry to hear that you didn't receive the promotion you were praying for, but we are encouraged that you've been seeking God's will in your career. Remember that God's thoughts and ways are higher than ours, and He always has a plan and purpose for us, even when things don't go as we hope. As it says in Isaiah 55:8-9 WEB, "'For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,' says Yahweh. 'For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.'"
While it's disappointing not to receive a desired promotion, consider that God may have allowed this for a reason. Perhaps He has a better opportunity in store for you, or perhaps He wants you to learn or accomplish something more in your current role. Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB tells us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
We also want to encourage you to keep praying and seeking God's face in this situation and to understand that the way we approach God is in the name of Jesus Christ, His son. It's important to remember that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it says in John 14:6 WEB Jesus said to him, "'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"
Let's pray together:
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we come to you, thanking you for Your unfailing love and faithfulness towards us. Lord, we ask for Your comfort and encouragement for our dear one who is disappointed at not receiving a promotion. Help them to trust in You and Your timing. Give them the strength and patience to wait on You and to know that You have a plan and a purpose for their career. Open up the right doors for them at the right time, and help them to learn and grow where they are now. In Jesus' name, we ask these things for your will. Amen.
Continue to trust God, knowing that He is working everything out for your good because you love Him and are called according to His purpose. Keep praying and keep seeking His will, and remember to approach God in the name of Jesus as He is the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through Him.
