Good and Faithful Servant
I admit my mistakes. It is true that I acted fully aware and irresponsibly, but the consequences have been very hurtful to my wife, who bears no blame in this situation. Despite my responsibility, the emptiness and sadness inside me are hard to overcome. At times, I feel that if things are meant to end, it would be best if they ended now, but still, hope lingers. I hope that she might, if not forgive me, at least tolerate me. She is a person of strong convictions, and I am a bit stubborn, but we were very happy for almost 7 years until my actions came between us. I pray for our relationship. She went to stay with her siblings seven days ago, and we have not spoken since. I see it as time for her to think things through, but at the same time, she might be thinking that I no longer care. I pray, in the name of Jesus, that things improve for both of us. If it is best that our paths diverge, I may have to accept it with a heavy heart, but if there is even a glimmer of hope that we can slowly rebuild our relationship, I would be the happiest man alive. I pray that my willpower keeps me from falling into temptation along the way. Amen.
