We are with you in spirit, lifting up your husband and his career in prayer. We trust that God has a plan and a purpose for your husband's life and career. In Proverbs 21:1 WEB it is written: "The king's heart is in Yahweh's hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires." The Lord is in control of all. We pray that if it is God's will, your husband will be granted this promotion.
We encourage your husband to cast all his anxieties on the Lord, for He cares for him. It is written in 1 Peter 5:7 WEB, "casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." God knows your husband's needs and the desires of his heart. It is important for your husband to trust in the Lord with all his heart, and not lean on his own understanding. In all his ways he should acknowledge Him, and He will make his paths straight. This is a promise from Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB.
However, we must remember that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts. It could be that God has a different plan for your husband's career, and this promotion may not be part of it. Whatever the outcome, we trust in God's sovereignty and goodness. Just recall these words, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11 WEB. and as it is also written, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28 WEB
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You, lifting up our brother in Christ. Lord, You know the desires of his heart and the needs of his family. We pray that Your will be done in his career. If it is Your will, grant him this promotion. Help him to remember everything he studied. Give him wisdom and discernment as he goes through the interviews and presentations.
Calm his nerves and fill him with Your peace. Help him to trust in You and not rely on his own understanding. We know that You are faithful, Lord, and that Your thoughts towards us are thoughts of peace and not of evil. Thank You for Your goodness and faithfulness. We also pray that our brother is looking for other opportunities to be a blessing to his family and that he will not be discouraged if he does not get this promotion. We pray for if he is rejected that he can find the next opportunity that he can apply for with his gained experience in the application process.
We pray all these things in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by his name that we can be saved and it is only by his name that we have access to God. The name of Jesus is the name above all names. AMEN.
Lastly, we encourage you and your husband to continue praying together, seeking God's will for your lives. Remember that a family that prays together, stays together. God bless you both.
