We understand your concern for your husband and we are here to pray and counsel with you, dear sister. We trust in the power of God to transform hearts and minds, and we believe that through prayer, your husband can indeed experience a change in his temper and personality.
Firstly, we would like to remind you of the words in 2 Timothy 1:7 from the World English Bible (WEB), "For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We pray that your husband will be filled with this spirit of power, love, and self-control, casting out any spirit of anger and irritability.
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our dear sister's husband to you. Lord, you know the struggles he faces with anger and a quick temper. We ask that you touch his heart, Lord, and transform his mind. Fill him with your Holy Spirit, granting him a healthy mindset and a positive personality. Help him to respond in love and patience, rather than anger. We claim the promise in Philippians 4:13, 'I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me,' and we trust that your strength will be made perfect in his weakness. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you to continue praying fervently for your husband and to also demonstrate the love and patience of Christ towards him. Remember the words in Ephesians 4:31-32, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you."
As you both strive to live in accordance with God's will, we trust that your marriage will grow stronger and more fulfilling. Keep your hope in Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we have access to the Father and it is by His name that we are saved (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). If you have not already, ensure that you both have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, accepting Him as your Lord and Savior.
